I am wondering the same as other folks...deflection test would be great. Also, weights of each. I know there were more options than normal, but even a mid size of each and that info would help. You have spoiled us in the past with your other reviews! 😉

Considering the Pro 10.7 wind. So can follow my child when he's learning windsurfing but also use as a Sup for me (90kg) and just play around with the kids. Question is will it be big enough for me at 90 odd kg?
@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea, thanks for your question. The Pro 10'7 should be fine for your needs. It has a load limit up to 120kg. Also, the 32" width will help along with the length to keep you balanced. An added bonus is the 4.75" thickness to make climbing back on the board easier. Hope this helps you decide. Cheers, Beau

Hi Reuben can you just tell us what the deflections on the Pro & Elite are without making another video?
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Hey Strangedays/ We didn't do the deflection of the Gladiator boards unfortunately. We never used to measure the deflections of boards when we did overviews of the ranges before. But we realised this was a mistake and they really need to be done. But unfortunately we haven't got the boards anymore so I can't give you the facts. Really sorry about this we will definitely look at improving this in the future and have deflection tests done for all videos not just stand alone reviews. Many thanks Reuben

Great content as always! 👍 One question. If I'm 1, 78m and 80 kg. Would you recommend the 10.6 Pro or the 10.8? I really like the thinner boards, but don't know if they are for me...
@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
Hey Borky. I think if you were not going to paddle with any extra weights, dry bags etc then you could go for the 4.75" . But if you were going to put up with more weight or maybe somebody else on the front then going for the 6 inch thick board will be better. Any help? Thanks Reuben

Thank you for the review. I'm just looking at getting my first board and unsure whether to go 10"6 or 12'6". Im 6"2' and 90kg. What sort of paddling distance are we talking to be better with the touring board over the 10"6', if I was doing distances of say 5 miles what would be better?
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew. Yeah I feel if you are going to be paddling distances around that regularly, then a longer board would be the best option. 10'6 are best for just going around the bay. Make sense? Thanks Reuben

Hi, is the fin on the pro-range not to soft for surfing? As I understand the fin should be stiff for surf?
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
It will be ok for some small surf. But up grading to a stiffer plastic fin will give you more performance for sure.

Hi , is there a link for the deflection tests? I am a heavier paddler but these boards look to be exactly what I want. Just worried that my 114kg might be too much on the 10.7 windsup.
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lawrence, really sorry we didn't do a deflection test for this video. I feel that you could paddle the 10'7 . But with windsurfing rig you may find the board near the weight limit of it thickness and construction. I really like these boards but feel a 6' thick board would be better for you and your needs. Thanks Reuben
@lawrencecrowe12144 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ruben. You are the second voice of authority to recommend a 6 inch board, so I guess its now down to the 11ft STX or the Shark, both of which you have reviewed. So thanks again, and keep up with the extremely informative reviews.

Hello from Greece. I'm new in the sport and I looking to buy a sup around 500€. I'm 110 kg and 1m 91 cm. At Greece, I was going to buy a aquatone flame 11.6,but after this review, l would like to buy a gladiator of the pro series. About the flame what's your opinion. Any suggestions about the gladiator and, also if you can give me a reliable site, that delivers the product to Greece. Thank you for your time and response.
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Hi Padelis. Thanks for sending in your questions. Unfortunately we haven't actually tested the Aquatone boards so I can't comment on that. But we can definitely vouch for the Gladiator boards as good quality and at a nice price. A board like the www.supboardermag.com/equipment_guide/gladiator-pro-double-laminated-fusion-technology-x-strong-edge-11-2-32-2020-review/ would be better for the longer paddles but not as stable as a board like the www.supboardermag.com/equipment_guide/gladiator-pro-double-laminated-fusion-technology-x-strong-edge-10-8-34-2020-review/ which is much more of an all round board, not as fast but stable and fun for all types of paddling. Regarding shops. I know a UK based shop called Sup inflatables can deliver abroad and have a good reputation. Best to sending them an email asking but I'm sure they can help. Otherwise a good Google searches should put you in the right direction. I hope that all helps? thanks Reuben

@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
No worries. Do you mean between brands? Or looking at a Touring board instead of an all round one? I would say that both brands are very close in quality. Board wise. If you are Wanting a board that would do it all then definitely stick to an all round shape. But if you want a board that is faster on flat water and will cover more ground then look towards a longer based board like a touring board. Remember you will still be able to catch a few small waves on a longer touring the shape as well. Knee to waist high waves will be no problem. But you obviously won't get much performance out of a board like this in the surf compared to a hard board. Any help? Reuben

My apologies Emma & Reuben, I did it completely wrongly 🙄. I'd email you directly (Emma) with my issue 😄. I didn't wanted to sound like there's some flaws in your products!! I was just confused, watching reviews of 12'6 (S) Elite & Pro on different YT channels. I asked at one, about those rear cords - they answered "board has no such fitted". By a chance, are UK versions different, than continental ones?
