This is my favourite orchestral piece from Hans Zimmer! This track is very moving as it progresses in an emotional way through all the swells and stabs coming back down to calm and ending on Choral. if you follow the music through your own journey you will see what I mean. Forget about the clutches of the mundane and relax with this gorgeous master piece, composed by a genius! Another one of my favourites is: The Village - The Thin Red Line Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer

You can recognize his music in any movie because of this peculiarity...you always find traces of musics previously made by him in his other compositions...which certainly is remarkable! A fine example is the similarity between Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribean OST.

@NajotoGyorg Hans Zimmer wrote the music for both movies. He has a very definable signature in music, and its one of the things that identifies music as his. Not a crime, i love his signature

He did that quite a lot during the 00's and late 90's, tons of people even critisized him for having such generic scores being a parody of himself. It's only recently where he's got the 100% back into his work, and it's made all of his older "generic" soundtracks sound even better than they were. I'm glad he's reaching the godly status that John Williams and Ennio Morricone are in...It's rarified air up there.

@NajotoGyorg It sounds similar of course, but actually, if you read the liner notes, Klaus Badelt wrote a lot of the music for Gladiator. He was working at Hans Zimmer's company (Media Ventures/Remote Control) at the time and co-produced the whole score with Zimmer. So it was not really copying... more like borrowing from himself. ;)

No. Gladiator came out 2000. Pirates of the Caribbean came 2003. Zimmer only produced the music of the first part. Klaus Badelt, his apprentice, composed the score. So Badelt plagiarized Zimmer:D
