incredible simply incredible I can hardly believe how good this cover is, this is one of my favorite songs I still remember watching this movie in theaters and being entranced by how good all the music was especially this song this score made me a fan of Hans Zimmer and you did this song justice with your horns! I think Zimmer must have thought it was a cool musical idea that didn't get much attention in this movie, so what the heck, why not use it (pretty much identically) again? I'm pretty sure it would not pass a copywrite violation if it weren't his own material in the first place.

Good lord you’re seriously talented with these ,they’re incredible 🙌 Also if there’s sheet music you should consider “The Bad Ape Bagatelle” or “End Credits” from War for the planet of the Apes, both are fairly heavy on the horns :)

this is incredible! if i may ask- how do you get such a dark, mellow sound in the horns bass register? i can easily hit the notes, but they always sound growly.

it’s hard to say without hearing how you play. i would recommend trying to find some other horn players in your area and seeing what they think.

I hate it when composers re-write the same thing they have done before. I know gladiator came first, but this sounds so close to pirates of the Caribbean at times... John Williams does this too at times...

Hans Zimmer so closely copied "Mars" from Holst's The Planets that a lawsuit for copyright infringement was filed by the Holst foundation. :D

Marc covers it in french horn and trumpet because those are the instruments that he's mastered the most (and he's mastered many, as you can see in his medleys). He tries to make tributes to the music that he loves, music that may or may not be fitting for brass instruments.
