I will never get over the fact that the very last motif is God's theme. Literally the last notes (also heard every time that God intervenes supernaturally). I can't believe how nuanced the composers were in order to tell you through the music that the Lord has the last word.

I’m a pianist and percussionist. I’ve always loved brass, especially the horn. This guy’s videos make me wanna learn someday soon.

It's 2022 and this arrangement has left one of the greatest impressions on me of any horn piece I've listened to. My friends and I used to listen to it for hours and we tried playing the solo at 4:11 with each other. The sound reaches my soul every time. Hoping to pick up horn again once I start college. Absolutely love this channel

When conflict occurs between two cultures, those who live between them always suffer most. Like Dakis brothers, (between Taiwanese aboriginal tribe and Japanese colonial government) Like people of Alsace-Lorraine, (between France and Germany) Like Moses. (between Egyptians and Hebrews) May God teach us how to maintain the peace between people to people, country to country, Amen. (by Egan Hsieh, a Christian from Taiwan)

This was more than cultural conflict though, it was straight up slavery.

5:32 on is just magnificent! I like the richness of the high notes on the horn vs the warmer low notes of the trumpet section that follow! Then it all culminates into a powerful unison that brings it all home! Great work!

Absolutely amazing! I've played both instruments (did trumpet for five years, horn for a little over two and a half now), so seeing both side by side is an added bonus. If I may ask, do you have any tips on making it easier to hit high notes for the horn? Or is it something that comes with experience? I know it requires good breath, but I've also heard different tips (for example, I think I read somewhere not to think of high notes as high notes, but as harmonics). Still, you did an astounding job! (Btw, loved the facial expressions and movements, haha. I should do that for my own music as well)
