Ahh! Glad to see a decent guide for this underated spec. When they buffed shield slam i jumped to deep prot spec instant, the gear with block value is just broken and the new one in phase 4 might be even more. If you combine this with Diamond Flask healing set it's just increbile. I started to upload new videos after a break. See you and thx for bringing love to deep prot warrior pvp

Really nice video dude, seen you outside Org before when my guild was doing a lil duel tournament, we were very impressed by your skill. I never took devastate rune because I thought you had to be in defensive stance to proc the extra sunder damage and i never wanted to leave glad stance. That being said when i started to play deep prot/glad stance it was like a giant breath of fresh air when pvping compared to an Arms or fury build

In classic I went R13 solo que, since no one wanted a Prot war. Flag carry, AB solo flag D, AV push. It was so much fun. Granted I did have a TF.

Hey man, nice to see someone honoring this underappreciated new spec! Do you know if added % block stat found on certain shields scales the dmg or it's just only the straight initial flat block value from the shield?

It’s just shield block value. Shield block chance doesn’t cause the slam damage to be any higher

Hey man! Great video. I'm glad to see that my build is coherent since it's quite similar with yours. And you're showing such a great performance. I've being not considering using Furious Thunder at all. Since it has low damage. But 4 secs of CD and 14 rage cost could be something... And since we're spamming Sunder, it really hardly hits 80 rage. I've being struggling to keep dps with other warriors on the PvE scenario. Do you think it would improve it's scaling spamming Thunder Clap on mob packs? If you have any tips at all on the PvE thing, please shout to us! And keep smashing on Glad Stance! (Are you playing on Crusader Strike? I'm a orc Glad Stance warrior there).

This prot build is strictly a pvp build. There are lots of pve application here as well however, its better to play fury for glad stance. You can look me up on warcraft logs too since I am playing fury glad in raid! Good luck homie!!

ahayea was testing it aswell, since warrior is a full copy of wotlk :( my shield slams hit 850 with flag without consumed by rage, harder then my slam/ms hit in arms atm. kinda rough to change all your 20year old binds having all spells viable in that stance, most stance specific binds are on the same spot for me. like beserkrage / rend vica versa this build gonna be insane on 60! since theres not that much block value gear atm. Dropping glad stance for less damage but having Enraged regen to use after last stand could help for more survival but def need tactical mastery then

We have bounced the idea around being in defensive stance with enraged regen. Its really really good against melee!

It's just the prot build but with the five talent points into revenge/bash instead of the threat gen one. I'm guessing it's retail players that think any of the other two trees are better. Lol This was the build I was using from the jump as a tragic prot warrior. Well minus I went with the defense talent vs the armor one and stuck with the parry/HS/charge talents in arms for a more "tanky" feel vs raw dmg. Edit my bad you took the trap talent not the armor one. I just woke up, still groggy.

I’ve done a ton of testing (15 or so hours of duels on PTR) going to come out with a video in the next week or so. Just remember warrior is really gear dependent, so if they don’t itemize us properly for gladiator, it may be a tougher spec. The good news, Blizzard seems to be itemizing all the new specs really well.

pressure comes from stuns, silences, and more single target damage. I use this build in every PVP facet of the game. Mortal strike is still really good in team fights to help with healing reduction. Its a different playstyle for sure

Would there be a big difference from a orc Warr and an undead?

The only difference you have to worry about is stun resist. With orc racial you get a little more resistance. It’s roughly 40% so if a rogue isn’t prepared or expecting the high resist chance. You can turn, concussion blow and delete them in a stun.

Devastate rune says it requires D stance to do its thing. Does Glad stance actually take that requirement away? I can see how it would affect the wrist rune though because it renames sunder to dev as far as the combat log is concerned.

Ret Paladins are difficult no doubt. If they have both bubbles and lay on hands in the fight it’s very close with Diamond flask. If they don’t have lay on hands I’d say it’s 60-40 in my favor. But I don’t feel like I have ran into a ton of paladins. Dueling shamans is scarier!

Theres no need to remove all arms warriors. In BG's this build serves a different purpose than a traditional arms warrior. Imagine your an arms warrior trying to apply MS and a glad warrior is chain CC'ing you.

When they announced p3 runes for warrior it was clear for me they are trying to make prot warrior pvp spec. That was the time i stopped playing warrior and sod at all. I mean come on. If u dont have solution or wish to make arms warrs playable in pvp thats not the game i want to play. Because i was playing sod and watching my fav class being destroyed by everything else and everything else got their at least fun or even more strong new mechanics made me think that ill just wait for later phases playing other classes to let them think over warriors and in later phases they are gonna give warriors something to make it fun. But nothing happened and introducing this prot pvp nonsense made me give up. But u know tbh the answer is just nearby. Just give warriors spell reflection and second wind

As a Arms enthusiest myself, I think youre wanting another Classic wow experience, but this is season of discovery where we have rogue tanks, warlock tanks, etc. I would encourage you to try something new and not the reskinned version of the toonwe normally love and play.
