I havent moved on from standstill 3 year in, and playing like 80 times per year. They call me standstill John now.

As a beginner a month ago, i have been really practinge stand stills daily. I have learned a lot. My max drive went from average 90-100 feet. To 260-350 feet consistently. In 2 weeks. It takes practice for sure. But i love the suprise of a long drive from a standstill. Great video.

I threw my entire second year of tournament play from the standstill position and actually began to win a few tournaments. Great technique to work on timing and weight shift. Thanks for the video

I meet a guy at the course the other day who only threw standing still. No run ups and still could throw 400+ feet. He said it was all in form, which is true. Really made me rethink my game.

I've only been playing for ~7 or 8 months, still throw stand-still on the course. I work on the run-up during field work. Threw my first even-par round at weekly handicaps last Saturday, started playing there last week of February and put up a +15, +15 , +11 and +13 the first four weeks. It's a relatively easy course with several low-ceiling shots but not a big premium on hitting your line exactly. Need the added distance of the run-up now to get some more reasonable birdie chances since I can only get to circle 1 from the tee on about half the holes (depending on basket placement).

Congrats on the first E round! Walk ups are great. Keep practicing in the field and slowly add it to your rounds. You got this!

Zero difference in my stand still vs run up, expect in consistency. The stand still is more consistent. I play to win.

I was definitely not expecting it! Am I happy for him, yes, but he's been out of the NFL for 5-6 years. His body hasn't taken hits like that in a LONG time. TE is a physical position. It will be interesting to see how he does. I think he will be a stellar locker room guy and will be a great teacher and mentor to Trevor Lawrence (more about how to handle the pressure, less about being a top caliber NFL QB).
