Gladio SC and Klon KTR

Klon is AMAZING at cutting in a band. Dumble style pedals are fantastic if you have a clean amp without a drive channel and you want that mid-gain touchy, blues-inspired overdrive without very much low cut.

@@Diax1324 Yes! That’s exactly how I use the Gladio. I got nuthin but clean amps so needed a pedal that didn’t sound ‘fake’. Tried the Gladio and the Lightspeed.

I built a Klon from a kit.Wish I could do it justice.Perhaps in more time I will be able to use it well.

Both pedals sound great! I know the Gladio is touted as having "dumble" type sound but I can't tell. What's your preference Ryo?

It’s a amazing pedal especially boosting is super clean and fat to my ears. You can’t hear exactly what I mean here in this video because OX and Interface add different tone. The compression switch and the Clean knob are fantastic.

@@HittinTheBlueNote Yeah, unfortunately, even with good headphones, it's difficult to hear all the tonal nuances in the audio from KZbin but it sure sounded good!

i am trying to get that JM stacked tone. Which pedal would you suggest? I was thinking about ts808 and one klon clone. But not sure which. Would it be better to get a gladio instead? This is the tone i am going for.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpmpqql7qNx6iK8

I’ve never tried Cornerstone Antique but I think it sounds what you are looking for.

Don’t get hung up on which one. JHS and Rocket Pedals make amazing klon pedals and a TS 808 together would be perfect. 9999 out of 10,000 people would never know that you weren’t playing an actual klon if they were blindfolded.

The Gladio is sweeter, more musical. The Klon is a bit boxy.
