This is Gladys in her 70s and she leaves the young people for dead. A truly extraordinary performer and just so much fund to watch. The kids don't even know there were still steam trains in the 1970s which actually did go "whoo whoo". Wish I could have heard her live in the 1970s.

Can you imagine how great the late Jim Weatherly felt sitting in the front row hearing 3 or more different generations singing and listening to his song that he wrote about Lee Majors and Farrah Faucet's love issues in 1970 under the original title, "Midnight Plane to Houston," and later renamed, Midnight Train to Georgia," per Glady's request? Absolutely AMAZING!!

Of course Gladys is going to run circles around any other singer. She has always been exceptional. From the time she was a teenager to now. She's one of those rare singers who couldn't hit a bad note if she tried Even at 71 she has no peer. I think she deserves more recognition honestly.

This rendition of this song is fabulous. It's detailed. It's about trains and personal relations and big cities. Remember passengers be careful around trains because they're big and heavy. I love that they mention Los Angeles prominently, it's a huge crappy town but here is where I've been hearing this song for a long time.
