Vocalists of Gladys's era had to know their craft and be able to project their voices without all the bells and whistles that a sound system can now bring. Sir Tom Jones is 80 this year and can still stand up and belt out a song while coaching a younger generation on the voice uk and sitting among his younger peers. It makes you wonder how many of todays vocalists will still be in peoples musical library 40-50 years from now and are still able to hold their own vocally?
