I don’t know if you knew, but release dates can make stuff worse. Without a release date, if a problem was noticed, the creator could be like “Oh, I can just fix that before releasing.” With a release date, it would go more like “Oh shoot, I don’t have enough time to fix this problem!” And so we’d end up with a mod with tons of problems because the creator would then be restricted on time to make sure things go together right. It’s just better to have infinite time to be cautious rather than being rushed through everything to get something not very good out.
