Notes: 1. Use a damp sponge to apply foundation. 2. Let the foundation set for awhile. 3. Blot face with tissue paper to get rid of excess residue. 4. Apply tissue paper on skin and apply powder on top of tissue paper using a compact brush. 5. Apply setting spray on sponge and lightly dab on skin.

I've said it before, 20+ years of wearing makeup and you still teach me. I've seen this technique for lips, but never thought of doing it over my face. I love it! You're amazing! Plus you do beautiful tutorials, use products most of us have(or have access to), and rarely-if-ever use fake Eyelashes which shows us what it'll truly look like if we don't have time for fake lashes. You always end up stunning 😍 So thank you beautiful❤❤❤❤❤

Smitha all I can say is wow. I am literally blown away right now, because I have tried everything to prevent my makeup from breaking up, creasing and looking cakey. I tried everything from using less foundation, using a skin tint, changing my primers. Even though I would set my foundation with a light dusting of powder and use my setting spray to seal the deal it would still start to look cakey after about 5 hours. I am going to use your technique tomorrow morning and I will let you know how it holds up. Thanks for sharing

A very recent makeup tip that worked miracles for my fussy skin, I got from another KZbinr make up influencer, Zabrena was adding corn starch to my powder. She used Coty loose powder, which is what have too and it worked amazingly! I've tried a variety of powders for setting and I thought they made my skin look dry and my wrinkles more prominent. This trick makes my skin look even and natural, not at all dry! Just thought I'd share...

Love thus technique. Have been using it for years to set my lips whenever I apply a dark colour lipstick that tends to bleed. Thanks for introducing this technique to be used on the face Smitha. Will surely give it a try. Also needed some help with how to properly set the Huda Beauty Over Achiever concealer which I recently purchased. It is quite heavy and tends too look cakey and dry after I set it with loose powder.

It's been six years since I last used a damp sponge on my face and my make up used to be flawless. Now I have like 30 minutes to do a full face and rush to work (including getting eye liner on fleek). I'll definitely start using damp sponge again. It works wonders. And that make up fixing technique is so bang on. I used to spray it all over my face and feel like I'm walking outside with clay mask all over my face. Face feels so stiff with fixing spray on unless you use a sponge. Wonderful techniques! Thanks a lot! Too less time to think when I have way too much going on

Excellent application well said, also if you have and event and won't to set a flawless base prep skin use a moisturiser then setting powder on face then apply foundation exactly like she did less is best then lightly set with powder and setting spray works amazing
