In this video I am discussing what is really happening to the hair when you are flat ironing your hair. This is important information to know because there can not only be issues of heat damage, but also of a loss of hydration. This , when done repeatedly can cause issues with dryness. The number one cause of breakage is dryness, so we want to ensure we are correctly identifying and solving the issue. As always, if you have any questions, let me know in the comments! Until next time y'all, take care, God bless, and stay glam! Linwood

Sin shortens life, because of our sins we are separated from God. Everyone have an expiration date and this world have an expiration date.There is nothing in this world worth going to hellfire for, depart from worldliness everyone. It's NOT about religion/denomination, it's about a relationship with Jesus Christ by praying everyday, reading the Bible everyday, believe the gospel, While you are still alive repent of all of your sins and be born again. Rapture is imminent, do not be left behind. Jesus Christ is coming back everyone, get yourselves ready.

The timing of this video couldn't have been better. I had just flat-ironed my hair for the first time in over a year a week ago and had no idea why it was so dry afterwards. Like most people, I thought the smoke was because the iron was too hot, and not that it was steam as the moisture was coming out. As someone who struggles with maintaining moisture, this was not something I can afford to have happen, but now that you have explained what to do to avoid this, I will know how to safely flat-iron my hair the next time I do it.

I never thought of the steam that I saw when I flatironed my hair as moisture loss before. But it definitely makes sense. Do you teach your students how to do tape in hair extensions as well? I recently watched a number of videos of people who had them done. The interesting thing is that I haven't heard how they are removed. I've wondered if they put any strain on the person's on hair? Or if they caused any damage or thinning long term? They do look really natural though. And it was good to see that you uploaded a video. The slick back is still slicking.
@denisemoore9316 Жыл бұрын
I think they are removed at the next wash. Most people who get silk pressed, usually have no water applied to the hair for any reason for 2-4 weeks.

The same can be said about perms, another chemical that straightens the hair AND can actually be deadly, yet no professional ever talks about that because they’re scared of telling the truth. Back to flat irons, I haven’t used one since high school and that was a decade ago. Growing up I had a fascination with long and straight hair for many years. When I flat iron my hair, I always do it after I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair with a blow dryer brush. Before applying heat, I always use Giovanni hair serum. Once that’s done, I apply a glistening amount of oil onto my ends, and go for at least three days without heat.

I don't use heat anymore, but I love being informed . Wow, the damage I was probably causing when I had a perm. SMH

Love this. Any tips about maintaining hydration on low porosity coily hair?
