Hey Linwood. I have the following questions. I am a middle aged woman who is severely allergic to hair dye but I hate grey hair. I use Henna & Indigo by Henna Sooq to dye my very high porosity hair. Is it okay to use a protein treatment 1-2 weeks after using Henna or will it cause damage? Also, what can I do to thicken my hair? Can I use Olaplex #0 & #3 on my Henna’d hair? Please advise. Menopause is kicking my butt.

In case you carry out these steps, it will help control hair fall, just like it helped me. Keep your scalp fresh by cleansing it regularly. Use a gentle shampoo. Make sure to get enough sleep every night. Wash your hair 2-3 times per week with litttllextra cocoonnnion shampoo. Apply some oil to your hair 2-3 times a week. After cleansing your hair, lightly pat it dry with a soft towel.

I can say that out of all the channels I follow your eldest daughter has hair closest to mine. My hair is also high porosity and medium to high density. It gets dry so quickly especially living in a hot humid country. (When I lived in cold London my hair actually kept moisture for longer.) I definitely have to step up my deep conditoning and my moisture routine especially as i recently got highlights which will make my hair lose moisture even more. I had colour in my hair years ago but i used products with silicones and also grease so my hair was very healthy, and retained moisture.

I use aphogee 2step protein at least twice a year. Why do you not recommend liquid protein? Which protein product do u recommend?
@GetGlamFam2 жыл бұрын
Liquid proteins are much stronger than cream ones. If your moisture balance is high, then protein is no big deal, it’s when your moisture balance is off that it’s dangerous. If your moisture balance is low and you are using protein, it makes the hair hard and brittle

This is an on-time video. My daughters have low porosity hair. Water sits on their head like little beads. I keep their hair braided in cornrows. The popular brands (shine and jam) looks great for 5 minutes, but then dries their hair out and leaves it fuzzy and ashen. Their styles don't last long. Any suggestions on the type/ brand of hair gel I should use on their natural hair?

For LP hair I don’t usually use gels, they tend to flake quite a bit. Usually I’ll do foaming wrap or setting lotion, if I have to use a gel for the edges or something I use it very sparingly.
