As someone who has very long hair, I find that even if I go to the hairdresser and they use a flat iron or curling wand, it lasts about half an hour as my hair drops. I watched your review, because I am looking for something that gives me tighter curls. But I will keep looking for something that you can plug in. Thanks for your review, because otherwise I would have wasted my money on a cordless device and I don't like those either.

Hi Gabi. I don't think the tight ringlets made you look dated. I think it made your hair look Fuller and not so lifeless as I think it does with the looser curl. The pictures you shown were dated but you did not look even close to that. Those were tight perms with frizz. Me personally, I get sick of everyone's hair looking 5he same. Either flat ironed with a center part or the beach wave. Talk about dates. Those styles remind me of the Brady bunch girls. I think ladies like myself with thin straight hair.....well it looks thinner when flat ironed.

I suppose it would have been MUCH easier than the barrel curling iron I used in my 20s/30s to fry my hair (yes, I had the long ringlets that took hours to style 🙄)....but now in my 40s I've pared my regimen way down and have rocked SHORT hair (pixie length) for years.... don't know if I'll ever go back to the length I had before 😵‍💫

Hi Gabi, I don’t think your hair looked dated at all, whatsoever. I think your hair looked very pretty 🌺. I know you mentioned that it’s not your kind of curl but I like it better. The side by side picture you showed of the blond women was not my favorite at all, not even the left side. Your curls were better by far, in my opinion. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Appreciate your honest review! Months ago I bought the CHI Spin and Curl, which is the same concept, except it is corded. Additionally it is bulky around the wand and clumsy to use. The bulkiness business made it even harder to get close to the crown, hence no lift volume and it was just hard to gage placement. And yeah..I just didn’t like it so returned the beast. Tried and true curling or flat irons give me better control/results. Thanks, Gabi and Happy New Year!

Yes!! I know that tool. I did a review on it years ago. I also returned that one. I have never ever liked the automatic curlers mainly for the fact that I think the curl pattern that it gives is hideous. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment!

The beeping would make me crazy. I was so obsessed with your gorgeous make up, I barely watched the presentation of the curler. I prefer the more modern type of curl I get with my flat iron. I loved that tutorial.

You did it with the highest heat and longest time, right? But the side of your head where you used the shortest time and not much heat was really fine. And NOT old-fashioned at all!! We can do the curles that way and they will be super ☺

I like your curls though may look more modern parted different or once they fall a bit. I tried this machine it ate my hair twice, I think it maybe too long for it, I ended up giving it away, it damaged my hair too much. Have you done a video on the beach waver? I got one on sale right before Christmas seems less damaging but can’t get my hair to hold a curl with it.

Hi Gabi, in the UK something similar has just come out by BaBylis , I think it is called Wave Styler, it is not cordless. I was thinking of getting it but as I have thin, fine, frizzy hair and normally let it air dry I am worried about heat damage. So have I understood you correctly in that one must blow dry the hair then use the waver? Many thanks if you get a chance to answer. Your hair is gorgeous (so are you), thank you.

Hey! If it’s like this tool then yes, your hair has to be smooth and dry to use it. If you’re worried about using heat on your hair, this will result in double heat processing for sure unless you can air dry your hair and use it then (if it air dries relatively smooth that is).
