I love a good 60s/70s retro style and that did not look outdated on you at all. You forget that when you one is gorgeous and glamorous like you are they can wear almost any look and carry it off. It also absolutely does not make you look older. The 90s blowout is inspired by the mid to late 60s into the early 70s roller set and I think they look just as gorgeous now as they always did on people of any age without making them look older. All you need is a fabulous minidress, some knee high boots, a dough-eye eyeshadow look and just sit there and wait for the compliments to roll in 🙂

Yes, I agree. The hairstyle…while beautiful…is outdated and aging. But no worries bc you always look beautiful! 😊 I love my Dyson Airwrap…but, definitely a learning curve getting use to it…as well as, finding out how it best works with your hair. It’s my Day One tool for “everyday hair” after I wash my hair. Day Two is curling iron. Day Three is a toss up. With that said - the Dyson Airwrap is more of a bougie blow dryer, smoother, hair prep tool if you’re needing a more styled hairstyle for an event or something special. It’s like your foundation tool. Kinda a splurge…okay it IS a splurge…but, hot dang I’ve grown to love it! 😊 It does take up some counter space though. It’s fine. I like all my beauty things. Gives me joy. I do want a blow out brush like you have tho. On my list.

Those prices are ridiculous..! I would not even spend my money on the Dyson one..! When Dyson launched its first blow dryer, I wanted to get it but its cost refrained me from buying it every time... I have thick hair and lots of it and my mom always used to say I had to use rollers but every time I did, I looked straight out of the 50's - totally outdated - and I still do every time I try doing it...and so I stopped - completely. Instead of my insanely long post .. if you’re on the fence.. I did a LOT OF research on the hundreds of ‘air stylers’ out there. And I kept coming back to the ‘ELLA BELLA 6 in 1 AIR STYLER!’ You’ll absolutely LOVE everything about it.. right down to the very well thought out, very adorable, sleek suitcase type case it comes in! Plus! It retails for between $140-$200! I’ve seen tutorials on it on thick hair, curly, straight, fine, African American, thinning etc… instead of just some model with great hair genetics lol! It really does everything it says.. it’s incredibly well made.. you can tell a lot of thought process went in to it.. and it’s a small, family owned business! They do everything to make sure you’re happy with the product (you even hear from the owner 😳💕).. plus it has a TWO YEAR WARRANTY! I did tons of research.. I got it.. (be a little patient there’s a learning curve to everything.. I’m still learning!) .. I’m shocked at how well this product works.. and sO happy I did all that mind numbing research 😮‍💨🥵 At first I ‘thought’ I wanted the Shark.. until I saw all the confusing.. “well you can have this attachment but then you can’t have that one blah blah, etc. For $400+ you should give me ALL the attachments 😂.. seriously?! And I wasn’t happy with the reviews either. Anyway.. the Ella Bella 6 in 1 Air Styler.. go check it out at Amazon or their website! And yes.. my profile name is just a coincidence 😂❤

@ …For the girl with African American hair (sry.. I don’t know my 2A’/ 3C’s and 4B’s …ABC-1234 terminology!) AFTER she was done straightening her hair and adding volume .. she DID have to go in with her Babyliss hot iron.. but just to add a little more movement and sleekness to it. But that’s ALL! And she had some unruly hair. I love that it shows.. or has different tutorials come out with ALL hair types. I’m still on a ‘learning curve’ with mine.. but it really is a fantastic, gorgeous ‘air brush styler’ … so far. I have very fine hair as well and the curling wand works almost too well on my hair, lol 😂 I have to learn how to get a soft curl.. and not such an intense ‘spiral curl’ .. really need to work on that! Anyway.. I didn’t think you’d see my post 🫣😅.. I was just trying to help other girls after I did sO much research myself. As far as the Sharks ‘volumizing brush’.. I don’t what the heck or how they came out with that design??! At least with the Ella Bella.. so far when I attach the ‘volumizing brush’.. the entire product acts like a blow dryer brush idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ Love your channel Gabi! So refreshing to see an ‘honest review!’

I like your hair at the end of the vid, but I also agree, it is not a current style. If you hit it with a lot of hairspray it would remind me of the 60s. I am fine with my Conair dryer for a rough blow out and the TYMO for smoothing. Yes, 2 tools, but in my budget.

As a black woman with an afro as my natural texture I value hot tools that have tension and shine, so a lot of this review was a little hard for me to discern much because 1) i can't free blow dry my hair without my hair becoming unruly, 2) I'm genuinely trying to flatten my hair so that brush might be useful to me, and 3) most of my heat styling is on dry hair. It's a lot of money but if it can cut my hair styling time in half by using one tool it might be worth it.

My question is, is the Dyson airstraight lighter and easier to use than the Shark flex fusion straightener? I recently got the shark flex fusion (never tried a dyson hair tool) and although I love the results of the straightening attachment, I have a lot of long hair and small hands/wrists and my hands end up cramping up so bad before I'm done due to how bulky the flex fusion straightener is. Straightening while blow drying was the main feature I was looking for in a hair tool too. The brush attachment pulls my hair out and I don't really like the effects of the air curler (plus it's more work getting it to work than a regular curling iron for me). I think I'll return the flex fusion, which makes me sad because I was so excited about it.

100% agree that the curl look is OUTDATED! I saw that this product had come out recently and had even seen a few people review it. But your review is the one that really made it easy for me to know that I do NOT need this product. The frizz fighter attachment is the one that I might still be curious about. I have hair the same length and style of cut as you. I also like a wavy look and will just keep going with revlon blow dry brush and curling iron or flat iron to create waves. THANK YOU!!!

What if you had done the bangs differently with the curling iron attachment? Would you have liked it better then?

No. It’s just not a great tool for an unlayered bob. It would look much better if it was slightly longer and layered.

Hey Gabi, I would love a hot blow out brush tool, but I have such thin hair. All the ones I have tried damages my fine hair 😢

I would recommend getting one that has different heat settings, so you could use it at a lower heat. I think the dry bar ones have multi heat settings.

Those prices are quite high. I got a limited edition set with the oval brush, both sizes of curlers, concentrater noozle and the 'anti electrostatic' thingie for just over 200€, not long ago. And I totally agree on the presentation being confusing! For someone who hasn't watched dozens of review videos, this could easily be off putting.

Ok, so this is a different model. This type of oval brush or curling barrel isn't even available here. And the one currently available on their website is yet another one. So there are 3 different types of curling barrels available now. Even more confusion. I absolutely adore the curls it makes, btw. Including on you. It looks very pretty, imo. If more girlish than your usual style. But if anything, it makes you look younger, I feel?

Hi, this is a fantastic video giving me some insight on these kind of products. As a beginner, I would like to know where can I buy babyliss Pro Hot Air brush that you mentioned you have? Is that avaliable in Amazon online? I want to buy one, since you recommended is good.😊❤, thanks. Michelle

*Warning: grab your glasses and a snack lol* With the, literally.. hundreds of ‘air stylers’ out there today.. $400 is STILL a RIDICULOUS AMOUNT of money to pay.. in my opinion. I did a LOT of research before buying mine.. and I kept coming back to the ‘Ella Bella 6 in 1 air Styler.’ (My profile name is just a coincidence, I swear 😂). The Ella Bella retails for between $140-$200. It’s not loud.. it’s so soft sounding.. no high pitch, it’s same concept as the others.. your main handle.. which is so lightweight and easy to handle. You have your hair dryer attachment, straightening brush- (which really works well and straightens.. and speeds up drying time as well, all the attachments do) , 2 curling wands with the Coanda effect (??) .. (where it sucks your hair up and curls it.. like this one and the Dyson), a volumizing brush.. which omG.. is so gorgeous and well thought out..once you lock that on it’s exactly like having a ‘blow dryer brush.’ ..and it adds insane volume while smoothing out your strands.. that attachment alone straightens your hair and gives you a great blowout. I love the bristles on it! It doesn’t have those hard, plastic, sharp and prickly bristles that get tangled in your hair. It has the long bristles with the round tips (but tips can’t come off like a paddle brush), but then lower down it has all the soft, tufted bristles. The ones that gently add soft tension and smooth out your strands. It’s that same, oval design and it’s bigger but not like, as big as your head ‘big.’ But you can take BIG sections of hair at a time and it glides right through.. or clip up your hair and do sections. The last is a smaller round brush.. for either coarser hair, or to get those smaller baby hairs or shorter hairs.. and if you want to add a little curl or ‘flip’ at the end of your hair. The Ella Bella is also sO well made.. I’m highly impressed at the quality and how sturdy the entire set is. The attachments twist and really ‘lock’ into place.. and don’t wiggle around OR fall off while in your hair or at ALL.. like the Dyson does.. and the Shark styler the attachments tend to wiggle a little when in their ‘locked’ position.. or ‘popped in’ position. All the attachments work beautifully and do what they say they’ll do. The spiral curl I get when using the curling wands is insane 😂.. I’m still trying to learn how to do not such a tight one. I was also highly impressed when I saw a woman with African- American hair do a tutorial on her own and how she gets her hair so straight and sleek. She wasn’t a sponsor for Ella Bella or anything etc. I came across it when reviewing the Ella Bella.. and I must admit, we don’t see enough of different hair types being tested on these ‘air stylers.’ Usually the ‘tutorials’ for these products are used on some model with let’s face it, great hair genetics. Anyway.. when I saw African American hair being completely tamed, straightened, etc.. (and she used ALL the attachments too, except the blow dryer) and saw how gorgeous her hair turned out.. I was sold. If that wasn’t enough.. it comes in the most adorable, sleek little ‘suitcase’ type case. It unzipp’s and has a deep mold of each attachment where they fit into.. and a zipper package in the middle where you can store whatever.. I have my hair clips etc.. in there. The little suitcase has a handle for such easy travel.. and it stores SO nicely. All the attachments have a ‘place’.. along with the main attachment AND a place for the cord. This little case really is adorable and pretty.. and so well thought out! None of the attachments are stacked on-top of each other making a mess like the others! Another plus is that it’s a smaller, ‘family owned’ business. So you get to be in contact with not only real people who care.. but also the OWNER, (Ruth).. and their customer service is off the charts and they’re so helpful and happy to help! They make sure and ask if you’re happy with their product(s) within a week of getting it. Who does that these days??! They do ❤ The Ella Bella 6 in 1 Styler also has a TWO YEAR WARRANTY! (Just make sure to register your styler.. which they make super easy through a text, and an email). I can’t say enough about the Ella Bella 6 in 1. 😮‍💨🥵 Again.. I just happen to think $400+ is way too much when there’s so many out there. If you’re on the fence though.. I did the research for you 😂.. and at first.. I saw and wanted the Shark FlexFusion as well?! But.. they make it all complicated.. “you can have this.. but then you can’t have that if you picked this attachment blah blah etc.” But the reviews.. nor the product.. impressed me ..at all. Especially for $400 PLUS dollars. Go at least check out the Ella Bella. Gabi’s great I love her channel!.. but let’s face it.. she has gorgeous hair already no matter what. She was blessed with great hair genetics. Again.. when I saw ALL types of hair being used with the Ella Bella.. Curly, thick, straight, fine hair, African American, thin hair etc.. I was sold. I got mine on Amazon.. and it came ‘perfect’ and brand new.. no issues. Before I shut up FINALLY 🥵.. make sure you use a leave in conditioner-anti frizz- heat protector.. maybe a root lifter and a gel or mousse for styling.. and at least for the very ends of your hair.. an oil.. Ouai along with Olaplex no 7 both make great oils for the very tips of your hair.. a little on your mids and if any residual is left over then around your face or wherever you get flyaways. But definitely don’t use on naked hair! Get that leave in conditioner and heat protector! OmGaa 😮‍💨🥵

Not negative--HONEST!! It doesn't work as well as the Dyson and if you're going to invest that much in a dryer, wait a bit until you have the cost of the Dyson. The main reason I was considering the Shark was the angle. I thought it would be more comfortable to use than a traditional blow dryer. I may have to rethink that, though. My hair is about the same length as yours, but thick and curly, and it's layered. The barrels may help me achieve a looser curl on humid days. But again, a wide barreled curling iron can do the same. Time to rethink. 🤔

At what temp do you rough dry? I have a dense head of hair.

I always rough dry at max speed and max temp. The goal is just to get the water out and since you’re moving it around the hair quickly, I don’t find it damaging at all.

Finally an honest review! I wish I would have seen this before I bought the DysonAirwrap. It’s takes a lot of time to blow your hair out to get the curls only to have them flop almost immediately. I thought I was doing something wrong and kept trying and trying but every single time I blow my hair out with the airwrap it just goes flat. It is wayyyyyy too much effort to put in for it not to last. A curling iron does a much better job. 😅

That was my experience too. I tried a cheaper brand but I didn't see a reason why the more expensive one would work significantly better. Curling iron is tried and true.

I agree but as someone that used very hot straighteners and tongs for twenty years it isn’t good long term for anyone’s hair. The Airwraps curls didn’t work for me till I bought the 20mm long barrel. I have fine poker straight and it works. You need mousse also and a fixing product but my hair is in substantially better condition.
