The comments saying that she is acting are disgusting. She isn’t showing much emotion in this video and seeming like she didn’t even experience this because she is still in shock. Mø Nälayé, I understand and appreciate you explaining to the top comment, but they didn’t say “well-spoken for a black woman”. I myself hate it when others compare a trait to me being a black woman (thus saying it’s unlikely for a black woman to have that certain trait). I think the original comment was leaning towards “well-spoken on the traumatic event they experienced not too long ago”. With that being said, I feel that we should be able to be complimented as a person, as long as there aren’t any mentions of racist stereotypes in that compliment.
@annalouise5074
@annalouise5074 4 жыл бұрын
@Mø Nälayé Im sure that wasnt their motive, she is extremely well spoken, we can hear how she speaks, I highly doubt they were referring to her being well spoken 'for a black person' she is just very well spoken , regardless of her race . I think that saying 'saying a black person is 'well spoken' is condescending' is condescending in itself , especially in this context, when Im highly confident they were talking about how calm and well spoken she is while talking about such a tragic event. Im a young black girl and I dont really think this comment was necessary in response especially to that comment.

The fact that an American citizen can sit there, mourn over these tragic events and still sit there and say they don't need gun control or better legislation. You can't have Kinder Surprise eggs because it's kills children when they choke and it's a hazard. Yet, anyone can walk into purchase a gun and kill a school full of children and be perfectly okay with that freedom. My dads a hunter, I grew up around guns all my life and even he agrees that tightening things is worth it. He still gets his guns, and others get to be safer.

Gwendolyn Gamboa well one reason someone may dislike is because it was too sensitive for them to watch, dislikes don’t always mean that they didnt like the video, it’s may also mean that the content was too sensitive for others. You always have to remember that it’s their choice and no one should be called names ( and I know you didn’t call anyone names but I’m just saying) or degraded(I know you didn’t degrade either but I’ve seen it) for having their own opinion because you may not know what it means. They also may have taken offense to something in the video( I don’t know what they would take offense to but that’s their personal opinion and feelings) too. Just keep these things in mind.

I was consoling everyone and making sure everyone was comforted and then someone just gave me a look and I bursted into tears. Even when I talk about it now and it’s only been almost two years I talk calmly. Even joke sometimes but late at night I cry about it. This girl and Akyra ran back in to save their friend Tyara... and Akyra didn’t make it back out.... instead she died on top of her friend. These women are brave, all of these people are strong and worthy, and I am so disgusted and appalled by this man’s decision to take life and death in his own hands. I appreciate Akyra, and I lift her up because had she not been there in front of her friend... maybe it would’ve been Tyara’s name on the list. This is friendship, this is love, this is the ultimate sacrifice and she is an amazing young woman for that. May these people never be forgotten and may this live in everyone’s memory for eternity.
