What a pity they couldn't have a tram museum in Glasgow. Brings back such great memories going to school on a glesca tram!

I know they have the museum of transport but a place like crich would be fab.

We've got the museum of transport but imagine being able to take a ride on an old tram like they have at crich. I've been on the one at summerlee which was great.

The tracks and wires are set for a default direction, however if a driver turns his power off then on again on the approach it operates a relay to set the points in the other direction. The points reset once the tram has passed over.

Most of this video was filmed at the National Tramway Museum, at Crich in Derbyshire, there is also a short section filmed at the Industrial Museum at Coatbridge in Lanarkshire.
