This was absolutely beautiful Denise! I loved the opening line so much. Your technique going up the octaves is an example of grade A horn playing. So happy to share this!!

I've had the pleasure of accompanying some hornists who played this concerto, and it's quite a fine piece of music, and very difficult for the soloist. Ms. Tryon performed this brilliantly.

Absolutely masterful. In case anyone wondered how you got all those plum orchestra jobs... ;-) I like the piece too. I'm curious about the titles (piece, mvts.)...?

It's called Glass Bead Game and there are 3 movements but all played continuously.

@@rloomis3 oh! It's based off the novel by Hermann Hesse called The Glass Bead Game. The titles of the movements refer to characters within the book.
