I have been getting a lot of questions about polishing rubbers that are used to smooth and darken engraved glass. Understanding polishing rubbers and how they work is important for anyone who wants to add shading to their glass engraving.
In this video we will look at the different types of polishing rubbers that are available and, what the colours mean, how to tell how abrasive the rubber is and how to use them to smooth your engraving.

Hello, you are really a great artist. Your videos are very useful. I have a problem in my country, Iraq. Not all supplies are available. Where can I get all glass engraving supplies?

It is difficult sometimes to find what you need. The first thing to do is look online to see if you can find any jewellery tool suppliers based in Iraq. That would be very much cheaper than using Eternal Tools or Cookson Gold, who may be willing to ship tools to you, but can be quite expensive. Other than that, it is possible to get basic tools from Ebay or Amazon.
