thanks for the video! Where can I get the pieces of glass?
@whatktmadenext3 жыл бұрын
I get glass from all sorts of places; Charity shops, people selling items on-line (often Marketplace), a local glazier gives me off-cuts and saves up any pieces that he thinks I could use. Sometimes I use bottles, and a local hotel keeps unusually shaped bottles for me to use. If I am looking for a better quality glass, I have a supplier who sells wholesale to engravers. All depends what I am looking for really.

What would a good starter kit comprise of please?

You honestly don't need all that many bits to get started. As a minimum, 2 or 3 spherical diamond bits in a range of sizes from say 1.5mm up to 4mm. A diamond rats tail for fine lines. A green silicon carbide stone is useful as is a white arkanses stone. Apart from that, a couple of rubber polishing bits and you should be able to make a good start. I do have another video which might be useful for you, Part 2 in this series - link below. Good luck with your engraving kzbin.info/www/bejne/gomsfZWIotWFobM

I'm sorry. That is just something I draw by myself. I would have been happy to draw out one and send it to you, but I can't work out how to do that. If I ever find out how, I will certainly send it to you.
