How old is the building? Bottom drive is something that is very rarely done in modern construction. I've seen top mount roped hydraulic; the Keen Kutter building in Wichita has one in it. The system was installed in an existing hoistway which originally contained a traction freight elevator, and the rams are mounted to beams in the top of the hoistway.

The area I live has alot of montgomery elevators but theyre hydraulic not really as interesting but the motors still do sound really epic on them and advanced brands like otis dover kone and thyssenkrupp are not very common where I live

These are nice basement/bottom geared traction machines. I have seen several videos on the variations of installation as to the side of the hoist way or rear of the shaft and roping configurations. Did not get a really good view of the sheave room from the roof top footage, it appears at least two guide sheaves are used for the elevator cab and counterweight. However not the offset above/under method with the side mounted machines.

Woahh! Those elevators are EPIC! Montgomery elevators are too ESPECIALLY G&P LOL 😂. Really love the elevator company sign, up and down bell chime and the view.
