@@GigaChadh976 Problem is he can't claim that without admitting to the flaws in the fuel. Or to the events that lead up to all of this. And in the end, the sacrifice of the Mona Lisa, the product of an actual genius, to save the world from the catastrophic damage done by the fake 'invention' of a fake genius, is sort of poetic.

@@crazyfire9470 her exact line is "your fuel of the future just barbecued the world's most famous painting", which is how it'd probably read in history books and in the news. Sure, her actions caused it, but it would've been impossible if he hadn't fueled his house with Klear and put an override switch on the mandatory detection system that the french government made him install. The louvre is absolutely going to investigate how it burned when it was in a fire-resistant, auto-locked case with a hair trigger, and that investigation won't look good for Miles.

Now that his 'friends' have turned on him because he can no longer help them (due to the ruination of his image and business over this debacle) he will be charged with Duke's murder, Andi's murder, perjury (over the lies he told at the original trial) and probably a whole host of lawsuits over his wholly unethical attempt to bring a hugely dangerous product like this to market without proper testing. His reputation will also be destroyed, everyone will know him for the dumbass he really is AND that he ruined and murdered the REAL genius. Every good thing Alpha did will be attributed to Andi. But the fact is all it take to combust the whole island is for one single hydrogen fuel to interact with air is a red flag. It even mention before the scene that isnt if they are going to blow up but when. Hence why they all turn on him at the end because they realized the inevitability of the fuel going to screw them over. Claire the govenor, Lionel the scientist all have stake in this

@@thinhvo3893 it did not combust the entire Island, it combusted part of the house which then spread to the entire house. Therefore,miles can argue that under these circumstances,yes,the hydrogen was dangerous but it was used with intention to harm. @@otisw4033 Did we forget the actual murder and attempted murder as well on top of that? Miles didn’t wear gloves so his finger prints are all over Duke’s gun and on the pineapple juice can he used to spike Duke’s drink. Helen could argue back that she was defending herself due the fact she’s got physical evidence of being shot at before the explosion. She was seen as a guest therefore did not violate any trespassing laws to defend his property. The man also installed the override to the security protocols of the painting which was already a serious violation to the contract of the loaning of the painting in the first place. He ignored the warnings of the potential dangers of his product. Finally, what the hell would the Louvre get from Helen anyway? Sure, she might go to jail but there is no money compensation that they could get from her as she wasn’t the one who signed a contract for the loan of the painting.

I thought Glass Onion was really good until the ending. It's like they didn't know how to wrap it up so they said, "Wouldn't it be funny if everyone just destroyed Bron's mansion?" No, it wasn't funny, it was dumb. Other than that, good movie (although I think Knives Out is still the better film).
@horsebox5138
@horsebox5138 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it's really about it being funny. Miles had such a hold on these people that there was no way to actually get him arrested and to pay for what he had done. Helen destroyed his mansion using Klear which essentially had the same effect by ruining his entire empire. Imo it was the perfect comeuppance for this spoiled brat who has control over everyone and everything in his life and earned none of it, but the cherry on top for me was how he killed Andy and Helen was able to fully just unleash all of that rage. Miles thought he was untouchable, despite being a moron he had so much powerhe essentially was due to the people he surrounded himself with and the money he had (which he stole from andy). But all of that is nothing when someone actually has some balls and stands up to him by not just walking away and instead literally destroying everything.

@trueblue6201 5 ай бұрын
@davidl242 Multiple starts? The source is just going to be the Klear. Which Miles brought onto the island. So it is going to be his own power source that is the problem. Lionel would be able to testify that it is unstable. So the fire becomes Miles' fault. The problem for your argument is that Klear is a new substance that is very volatile. The fact that the whole facility is run by it, now that looks like Miles' fault. It could be either negligence or perhaps intentional on his part. With everyone else testifying against him, that does not look like a strong case for him. 6 people against 1 is generally considered stronger evidence. Seven if Blanc testifies.

@@trueblue6201 you dont think he has security cameras all over the place especially in the room with the mona lisa? Even by some odd coincidence there are no video footage…. Even if Miles has no case/evidence (which isnt the case here likely), just dragging her through court is gonna cost a fortune while just pennies in comparison for Miles. All to say… i thought the ending was a fairy tale not grounded in any reality but thats just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️
@trueblue6201
@trueblue6201 5 ай бұрын
@@davidl242 There are a couple of holes in your so-called reality. 1) We already know there are no cameras. We saw the whole island (if you saw one please tell me when). Also, if there were cameras, it would show Miles shooting Helen meaning he definitely gets the attempted murder charge for her. (The lights were off, not the power, so if there were cameras, they would still be recording. And if surveillance cameras can not see in the dark, then it can not actually be used. Not to mention, all the cameras would have been destroyed in the fire, and given the design of the place, I doubt Miles would have been smart enough to have them backed up off the island 2) Miles would be facing criminal charges in both Greece and the U.S. (murder of Duke and Andi, respectively). With the Disruptors, Helen, and Blanc speaking against him, he would get charged. Miles situation would be very complicated as usually when someone is criminally charged you are not allowed to leave the country. I acknowledge that he probably could afford bail, but with a separate murder investigation in another country involving him, I doubt he would be released. 3) Helen would only be involved in court for the murder charges as a witness. Miles could sue her, buy as demonstrated with Andi's own attempt to sue Miles (she had high priced lawyers too), the Disrupters are good witnesses. They were able to lie effectively on the stand. It would be hard for him to beat them. And if he proves they are liars, that further taints his brand as they were liars for him. Similar to what just happened with Donald Trump's fraud charges, that is not exactly a win. 4) France will be suing him for the destruction of the painting. Even if he claims Helen did it (which would be undermined by the fact he is accused of murdering her sister), his clear failure to keep the painting safe with the switch to raise the sheild and his use of an unstable fuel source would likely cost him that lawsuit. And again the Disruptors ditching him, he would not have any strong evidence.

So by that point, it wouldn't matter that she pressed the button that opened the door to burn it, since no one would really know or care about that part.
