Maybe contact A2Z which has a CCS1 to Chademo adapter. Glad to see you back safely.

Don’t want a2z I know that they are a great product and a good company. It’s just the customer service and never having to worry if the product is going to work at least in my testing with the adapters that I have had from different companies. Aacraine has been the best at least for me personally but competition is great and it’s kind of like Apple and android or Samsung and Apple or just whatever everybody has their preferences both work except I think that.aacraine is a little bit more innovative kinda like android is over Apple so much so that there’s an adapter for the chademo that they just made they’re sending me to snap on that tells the Tesla superchargers that we’re basically a Chevy bolt and can charge at Tesla superchargers which that adapter I’ll be getting next week where as a2z doesn’t get too crazy and just sticks with what other people create and then they build upon it and like Apple does both great companies. One is innovative, one kind of wait for innovation to happen and then build upon it if that makes any sense at least in my opinion I may be wrong.

Yeah, we sold our Leaf after nearly getting stranded in Davis, CA because of ChargePoint removing CHAdeMO and replacing with J3400 plug. They are doing this everywhere. Sometimes 0 CHAdeMO left, sometimes 1 out of 4. Fortunately ChargePoint is headed for extinction as they can't compete. Teslas are just not going to charge on their dog-slow units. Leafs and Bolts were their bread and butter and they screwed us.

I was just looking at my Stocks and ChargePoint. It has fallen like crazy since the election, which makes me wonder and worry.

Hey Rick, been watching with interest, not brought one yet as chademo is still supported here and still fitted to new charging hubs. Hope it's sorted, I'm guessing no one stateside has developed a viable way of converting the chademo port to CCS, ie no adaptor required. Have to ask, does your site have a FB page? Anyway keep us informed, keep up great work. Regards Karl uk

@@karlheinzendress yeah I have a Facebook page also but it’s just basic Facebook information like family stuff the importance whatever I’m doing. I’m getting a public adapter this week not the test unit. They’re sending me one and a Tesla to chat a moment adapter to test out here in the United States for supercharging. They say it should fill the system and work. I’m excited to try that on the next part of the trip.

This summer of 2024, I was driving in Indio, California, down to Westmorland, that area, and it was according to my Mitsubishi Mirage, 122F outside while driving 55 MPH. I went up a hill and my engine hot light turned on. So it must have been very hot! If I was just sitting in the Leaf, not moving, at 122F, would the car already be too hot before any driving, or charging?

I don’t know it’s been hot here in Florida every day and if I do like a 700 mile road trip and the asphalt is about 120 to 130 I could probably charge about three times fast that day before the battery would start really really really slowing down

@@nomadichippie Thanks! I am not even thinking about fast charging, I just mean driving in general, when it's 120F outside, the ground is about 160+ F, yes, you can literally cook a steak on the ground here in the summer, if you keep moving it around. I am just curious if just driving will cause it to get super hot and rapidly degrade the battery. Also, how many miles per KWh do you get at 55 MPH with cruise control turned on, with out AC? I been looking at Leaf's, and I have a 120 mile each way trip to work and back, and I can charge at work on 110V, and the same at home. I am curious if I could get that stock 40 KWh range up close to 190 or 200 miles with a low speed with cruise control.
