Saw these guys live so many times between 2001 and 2003 while I was in high school my favorite show was at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas my girlfriends and I had to road trip to from Houston and the other more memorable one was the Vans Warped Tour in Houston and I got to meet Beck and Todd Weinstock. I still have some original GJ concert tees. My prized possession is the baby pink GJ on white tee. It’s so cute I’ll never part with it.

You generally can’t hear shit if you stand side of stage, other than the bass, drums and a teeny tiny sliver of guitar and vocals. You’re not getting a PA mix unless you’re right in front of a stage monitor or actually in the crowd....that’s the price you pay for being that close to the band whilst they play

Well they’re not angsty 20 something year olds anymore. And a lot of the music they’re playing was written from back when they were 20 something year olds. They were definitely much better live back in the day, but this is just the natural progression and aging of all things. Also they don’t play with a second guitarist anymore which kinda sucks.
