I'm just learning Freecad so bear with me 😊 The only thing that confused me in your video was when you were relocating the tooth profile sketch from the xz plane out to the tooth location near the perimeter of the cylinder. You were in the placement section of the combo view but were adjusting a z axis offset, yet the sketch was moving along the y axis based on the xyz indicator in the bottom right of the screen. It was obviously the right way to adjust it but why did it take the z offset and not the y offset ? Hope I explained it right. Great videos and many thanks for your efforts. Cheers from Eastern Canada 😊

Hi Lewis, Thanks for your feedback. I haven't forgotten your question but I've been very busy and haven't been able to put something coherent together yet. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for this movie I'm sorry but I can't understand how are calculated Computed values sc_InnerRadius and sc_ToothOuterEdge are the simplest formulas from them for sc_OuterToothWidth I thought I can use calculation of base of triangle by angle and one side(I use s_CylinderRadius for it) But for s_CylinderRadius=15 and s_NumTeeth=14 I got 3.36 but in movie it's 5.73 Could you help me with Computed values formulas? Thanks

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. I'll help where I can, but please remember that I'm not an engineer and the formula I used in my video were created specifically for that video. I not the slightest bit surprised to hear that you are getting different results since it sounds like you are using different formulas to me. That said, how can I hellp you?

Hirth teeth angle is 60°, mainly for two shaft coupling, your two axes can not be coupled
