Mary, you can glue the clay pieces onto your project as soon as you mold them. The clay does not have to be dry. I use Titebond quick and thick to glue it on and you can also paint them immediately after you apply them. You just have to be careful not to distort your clay. Just an FYI.

Ohhhhhh I love that old cabinet, the top looks awesome. My favorit piece I have was a little cupboard that hung in my Grampas barn which help cow meds and teat cream etc. I can’t bring myself to paint it but did paint the 8n side and wallpaper it. Like your cupboard, it’s a family treasure. 🇨🇦🌷

Love the beautiful character of this piece! Great selections on hardware, clay medallions and wallpaper. If I don’t have glaze I have washed wood with any paint that I dilute. One part paint to 4-5 parts water. It goes on and wipes off easily and is nice and frugal. Love your eye and design instincts. Many thanks Mary!

Mary, I absolutely love cabinets that have the charm this one does! The bead board, that sweet latch, the color…it is perfect…well done! Then add the memory with it…a TREASURE ! My home is filled with dresser my dad built, well actually he made the whole house over and I am blessed to own it now. It is hard to let things go when they get really bad from use. You are fortunate to still have your Dad, so my items I try to hang onto because I feel like I’m letting yet another piece of him go…I know that silly..but I loved my Dad so much. I’m with you on how fast this month has gone. We have been so focused on July 7 and the Wedding…now that that has past and the month is flying by! God bless !
