I work myself a lot with lanthanides for other purposes (i'm an optical glass scientist), your work is very interesting ! I always loved the intensity of colours rare-earth can bring to a glass/crystal. Another very interesting thing is that it can give some very strong fluorescence properties to your glazes, in the case of Erbium, using UV-light you can have some green-reemission. Some other ones I really love are Europium and Holmium. The first one can give great color change depending on the redox conditions you use for the glaze preparation, and Holmium oxide is very unique, because it can change color depending on the light environnement it is placed in ! (in a broad spectrum light, ie sunlight it appears yellow, and with LED green-blue-red lighting, it appears pink)

Love this video. BTW, the chrome is brown because of the zinc in Campana Clear. Also consider using NZ kaolin as in this test: johnbrittpottery.blogspot.com/2016/04/campana-clear-grey-tests-with.html

OMGOODNESS I ordered John Britt's book this morning! I'm glad you recommended it. I also am working on texturizer with the braided 50-pound braided test line I love the effect when braiding the line, thank you for the advice. Are you using the frost porcelain for your test tiles?

Great stuff. Thanks. Where did you get the praseodymium oxide?
