GLAZING #1 LAYERING MAYCO GLAZES, WINTER WOOD, LIGHT FLUX AND AMACO HONEY FLUX

This is how I glaze mugs with a very simple combination, mayco winter wood, light flux and amaco honey flux for the inside of the mugs.

So what does flux do? Is it just a flowing type of glaze, or does it make the glaze painted on flow?

I add light or dark flux to create flow or movement of the other glaze I am combining with. I love the drippy look of it after firing but have to be careful though because it can get the pots stuck on the kiln shelf if applied too much.
