We have an analog mixer and I want to upgrade to something more. This is exactly what will make our system far better and after watching the two training videos, it makes a whole lot of sense. Good job on the way you presented this!

Excellent tutorial. I’ve always used Yamaha mixers before, but almost a year and a half ago I tried a digital soundcraft mixer. I fell in love with it. The pre amps and the effects are absolutely amazing. The only thing I did not like was that I had to use a separate ipad to wirelessly control the mixer which had no buttons at all. Sometimes I lost the signal too
@GLBProductions4 жыл бұрын
Yes those remote-controlled mixers are incredibly risky for live sound - if the signal drops at the wrong moment you can lose your job.

The back of the mixer is just a whole bunch of inputs and output and some TRS connectors for the stereo inputs. I'll see if there is some mention of that in the last past. Thanks for your input, Thomas!

What is function of GATE
@GLBProductions Жыл бұрын
Think of it like an automatic mute that turns the channel off when no signal is detected and turns it on as soon as somebody speaks into the mic or plays the instrument.

Such a speaker (you I mean) ! I've got a mixer just like that and I want to be able to have 2 zones in the master fader. Meaning, I have only this mixer, with a PA with L and R speakers, but as the speakers are placed, there are 2 zones - L and R. Can I have 2 separate sound inputs for each zone? Meaning on the L zone side, there would be a concert with 4 to 5 instrument inputs and on R side there would only be one input example, a tablet playing some music? How can I achieve this? Patching and routing I suposed? Thank you SO SO much your videos are PRICELESS!!!!
@GLBProductions6 жыл бұрын
Hello Marcos, that's quite easy to do - just pan the inputs that you want to go to the L zone hard left and vice versa for those you want to go to zone R. If you want an input to go to both zones, just pan it centre.

Many thanks for your reply, so simple solution, I'm still learning about this digital mixer. One last question - considering that on each side of the PA I have 4 speakers (8 in total) and everything is connected as per you teached in your videos, is it possible with that mixer to do 2 zones as stated before, but instead of using PAN (which would give only mono channel eachside, 4R for one input and 4L for other) route the stereo sound of each zone for 2+2 (L+R). I would want to be able to return to normal configuration (4+4 - L+R) without having to rearrange phisical cabling. PAN solution is very good and would resolve but if possible on the mixer, I could use different profiles and recall settings maybe? :) THANK YOU for your kindness and swiftness! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN!
@GLBProductions6 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! For something like that you'd need to set something up using the matrix outputs or aux outputs. The great thing about digital is that almost any signal routing is possible :)

@GLBProductions7 жыл бұрын
Press one of the 'mix' buttons above the channel encoders and then use the faders to send signal to that mix. Mix 1 = aux 1 on an analog mixer and so on.

@@GLBProductions excuse me mr glb. i ask you about auxiliary of analog mixer before. if i use a mixer with 6 aux what should i do to them to set them in same post fade? I'm being dilemma about it. if my mixer have 6 aux then the first one was prefade and the rest were post fade. and then i saw aFL too. what should i do. I'm afraid to use prefade auxiliary. because I don't want to damage my devices such as reverb and other audio processor. I'm afraid to waste my device and money.

Hi GBL, Appreciate your videos very much. I would like to know what is normally the good frequency range for acoustic guitar? Thank you.
@GLBProductions7 жыл бұрын
Hello David thanks for supporting the channel! What exactly do you mean by 'good frequency range'? The range covered by the instrument? The best EQ frequencies?
@davidchenglk3137 жыл бұрын
Sorry. What I meant was how to EQ an acoustic guitar that it sound acoustically in the house. We are using SI Impact. Thanks for your reply.
@GLBProductions7 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what the guitar sounds like in the first place and whether you are using a microphone or a pickup system. Start with the EQ flat and with the high pass filter engaged at about 100Hz and adjust from there.
