Karofsky may be sorry but that doesn’t mean all is forgiven. Think of if you feel in love with your former bully. That doesn’t sound right. It’s sounds toxic and not ok.

@@hannahs8404 Girl wait a minute yes he was a terror but let's not make it seem like Kurt is an angel...I love Kurt but are we going to forget the fact that Kurt pretty much forced his dad to meet Finn's mom just so he can try and get into a relationship with him or the times that he was a complete asshole to Rachael just to make her look bad in Finn's eye so he would have less competition, and the fact that he kept all the unwanted advances he made on Finn from his father who always had his back...my point is both of them had great faults and yet they both over cane their faults and happen to make each other better...Karofsky was the worst to Kurt but that also ended up making Kurt a stronger person and Kurt ended up helping Karofsky come out of the closet sounds like a romance story to me

Alonzo Kelly Yeah no... not at all. Sexual assault is not a fucking romance story. Kurt basically did parent trap with his dad and Finns mom but he also learned that him and Finn weren't meant to be and he RESPECTED THAT. yeah he fucked over Rachel at times. But you have to admit she was pretty bad herself at times. In the show she almost always got what she wanted despite Kurt and her being friends. Kurt in Defying Gravity threw a note just for her. Tho yeah she helped him come out of the closet, that is not a right away to instant friendship. Karofsky took Kurts first kiss. He bullied him for years. They eventually did settle when being fine with each other. Kurt is not an complete Angel, but who the fuck is ? Kurt was one of the strongest characters but just BC Karofsky got better, doesn’t by pass what he did to Kurt for so many years. Including that kiss. That is never ok.

Hannah S Dude, just about every relationship in Glee had abuse. Puck got Quinn drunk to have sex with her in the first season, which is rape, and it’s completely glossed over and their relationship was seen as romantic and nobody gave a shit. And just about every other relationship features verbal or emotional abuse. I don’t really think there’s a single character that wouldn’t be cancelled to bits by today’s standards, including Kurt. So let’s not pretend as if Karofsky did something unforgivable by the show’s standards. Mr. Shue surprise-kissed Emma multiple times. Hell, Klaine’s own first kiss was a surprise kiss. It makes no difference if the reciprocate decides they wanted it after, no consent was given, verbally or by leaning back in. Not excusing Dave’s actions, I agree he assaulted Kurt, but by the show’s OWN standards he’d be redeemable for a relationship with him. Glee was an awful show when it came to glossing over that type of shit.

Honestly they did both Kurt and Karofsky dirty in season 6, by making him date Blaine. First of all Dave would never do that and second was it really that hard to write a new gay character, I mean at that point it would’ve made more sense for Kurt to date Dave, but instead he got with a dude old enough to be Burt`s dad(Walter was hot though)

Why the writers couldn't handle every terrible character with the same humanity that they did Karofsky... He did horrible things, hateful things, evil things, but he showed deep remorse. He APOLOGIZED. He and Quinn were really the only ones who went through redemption arcs. Everyone else written to be a bully, either got away with their behavior scott free because they were sneaky (Kitty to Marley, or Bree) or hid behind the victimized minority brand (Unique, or Sebastian) without any real remorse for their actions. Asking the viewers to just forgive such AWFUL people and their actions was painful to watch, and made the show unwatchable after so many characters apparently were trained on how to be the worst of humanity.

I love how people hate Dave for being the way he was. Which is respectable, but he literally is bullying because he's scared of coming out. Which during the time was a very scary thing, people got beaten up, killed, rejected, disowned, and lowered for being just gay. I don't approve of him bullying, but as a gay man myself I can understand why he was who he was and why he is trying so hard. I don't condone bullying , but I'm not gonna turn a blind eye to Dave and ignore his efforts to actually try. (Not to mention when Dave and Blaine dated he was open to the idea of letting Blaine go back to Kurt, because he knew where his heart was.) Not all bad people are born bad. Sometimes the world molds them that way.

Kirsti Swanson that's understandable, and I don't blame you for hating at all. But I feel that the sincerity in the apology is such a deep, embracing apology that i would say I'm more cautious than hateful about it. Dave is putting in real work and trying to make amends. It's kind of beautiful. Thankfully they let the character of Dave evolve, I just wish they'd let them become better friends.

I don't understand what tortures both of them. If you're wondering what other people are thinking, just ask them. You don't have to doubt yourself or believe them. We're not trying to please "bullies" and judgmental people. Our job is to tell them how it is, not to worry what they think.
