This scene would've lost all weight & credibility were David not immediately expelled. There are zero tolerance policies in most school's these days, especially as it relates to violence. One of the best things about Kurt is his Strength. Not physical strength, but strength of character and heart. He had every right to out Karofsky for threatening his life, for making him feel unsafe and unloved, for making his school life a living hell. No reasonable person would’ve faulted him for it; while being outed is one of the worst things you can do to someone because it can open them up to a whole new world of hurt, Karofsky gave up the right to his secret because he subjects Kurt to that hurt every day and worse, a threat on his life (whether he meant it or not, he said it as an intimidation tactic, not as a joke or banter). Hell, maybe Karofsky would’ve finally understood what he’s been doing to Kurt had he been outed. But no. Despite everything his bully has subjected him to, every humiliation and threat he’s received at Karofsky’s hands, Kurt shows kindness and mercy. Even when Karofsky has the gall to counter Paul’s questioning with “maybe he likes me”. That would’ve made me snap, showing compassion for my bully only to immediately be hit with THAT, I would’ve backtracked so hard and told them exactly what he was hiding. And yet Kurt doesn’t give in. He just keeps on being his awesome self, being kind and generous and empathetic no matter how much it hurts him. This is the mark of a great character, if not (arguably) the greatest character in Glee, and I’ll stand by that.

Sue has done some shady ass shit over the seasons but, I never had more respect for her than in this moment.

Dave is being so ungrateful after what Kurt did for him. He got his back when he could have told everyone about who Dave really was, but he kept on being true to him instead of taking the easy way of cowardice and spite. I like Dave tho, maybe because I think he's hot...

And THAT is why I genuinely love Sue as a character. She may be mean, but she knows exactly what to do when it matters

it's funny how she can go from trying to shoot teenagers out of canons to actually being a responsible adult and making sound judgement calls.

Can we all agree that Sue was a much better principal than figgins?

People may hate Sue but she actually did something to protect Kurt unlike most IRL teachers

You know Karofsky and Burt like father and son, if both father's switch it would make more sense in face identity.
