@@angellemann1386 Jesse wasn't really suppose to come back to the show after. The ending was what Rachel imagined would happen, confirmed by the show runners. Finn was suppose to be a teacher in charge of Glee club (not Sam) and Rachel would've won her award coming back to Ohio walking into Finn's classroom saying, I'm home. Then they were suppose to get back together as both accomplished their dreams and end up getting married, etc. (3yrs late)

I love how Rachel and Jesse know each other so well even though they dated only a short time and they can get each other to open up. The fact that Rachel can recognise him by the sound of his boots in season 2 and can instantly tell when he's nervous even down to the hand in the hair and it's a continuous thing that Jesse always likes the things that other people don't like in Rachel even when they aren't dating. He's one of the people who isn't put off by her confidence or her attempts at trying to take the spotlight but instead lets it push him to rise to the challenge. Like damn whether it was intentionally set up to happen or not they really were made for each other

I loved finchel the first time I watched glee but then I rewatched and realized how jesse and rachel are so compatible for each other , since they have the same interests, same ambitions and the fact that they’re both drama queens. Also like jesse said before they make really beautiful music together. I was so pissed at him for egging rachel but from his facial expression and his action, he really didn’t want to do it, and I really do believe that he loved her. He came back to apologize to take her to prom, he even talked to carmen for her. Even though some people may portray him as a bad guy, but imo his intentions were never evil, and he’s always been supportive of rachel so I’m so glad they ended up together. It’s also a major bonus that they’re best friends in real life, and after finn/cory passed away, it must’ve been really comforting to have someone like that with lea , so I feel grateful that st berry got their inevitability

Yeah there's different like "opposites attract", but then there is "so different that we aren't going in remotely the same direction" different. that was finn and rachel and i was never on board with that relationship because they were just SO different. they were pushed together and no one has ever stopped to think WHY. "well because they just are" isn't good enough for me. i never saw one conversation between the two of them outside of their "oh i wuv u sooo much". and their constant back and forth in season 2 was the most obnoxious thing i have ever seen. either get together or don't. STOP with the eyes and the longing looks, and the boohooing.

rachel was nothing but a pining school girl when she was dating finn. as opposed to the few scenes she had with jesse. they actually challenged each other. Finn always talked about how she was too intense or too dramatic. but jesse GOT IT. he loved it. and this scene shows again that he just likes her, for her. they dated for like a couple months and she STILL knows all these little things about how jesse behaves. she never shows that with finn. I think it’s cute that you can see that they really do love each other- Lea and Jonathan :) When she does something cute- he gets a genuine smile. I’m glad they let her end up somewhere safe- for both the character and the actual person/actress. I also know Cory, Lea, and Jonathan used to spend time together a lot…if anyone would have approved of a different ending it would have been Cory. They did Lea justice by just letting her bc w him in the end.

Ugh I love this pairing! They totally get each other. It made much more sense that they ended up together. Finn and Rachel were great too but nobody else could relate to Rachel’s dreams and ambitions like Jesse because he is exactly the same way!! While Finn would’ve been supportive of her career, he would’ve tolerated her love for theater and drama at best and never really understand how fiercely she wants it and would just sum it up to her being a drama queen. But Jesse is on the same level as her. He loves that quality about her and would be able to keep up. And he was soooo supportive in the last episode. He was perfect for her

Hot take: Finn and Rachel were not a good couple. The only reason they are so pushed together is because Lea and Cory were together irl. The character Rachel was much more suited to Jesse than Finn.
