I love who they chose to say each line. It reflects the characters well. Santana: “In truths that she learned.” Finn helped her come to terms with the fact that she was a lesbian. Even if he did out her, she doesn’t seem to see it that way in this moment and is probably thankful for what Finn did. Kurt: “Or in times that he cried.” As brothers Kurt and Finn went through a lot together. That includes many tears. Even though Finn has made Kurt cry he was also most likely a shoulder for him to cry on as was Kurt for Finn. Puck: “In bridges he burned.” In season one when it was revealed that Quinn’s baby was Puck’s and not Finn’s their friendship seemed like it was ruined. But Finn forgave Puck and like that their bridge was rebuilt. Tina: “Or the way that she died.” I feel like her line describes how we feel. It’s always tough to lose someone that your a fan of. But the fact that it was a OD somehow makes it even worse. Cory struggled with drugs for most of his life. Cory wasn’t able to beat his demons.

0:35 you can see the tears in Jennas eyes I can't imagine how hard filming this episode must have been for the cast. They were all close friends of Corys. Naya said that almost every scene was filmed in one take because the cast kept breaking down in tears and the director and producers didn't want to force them to do the scenes over and over again. Having to film this only a month or two after he died when they hadn't even processed his death seems so cruel.

Not just that. Santana and Kurt’s lines are also fitting for their relationships with Finn. Santana’s “in truths that she learned” was about coming to terms with being lesbian, even though Finn pushed it forcefully. This is one of the first episodes of Glee I watched. When Kurt was narrating he indicated about Finn being his brother. I was like WHAT? I asked my friend (who got me into Glee) about that and she's the one that told me they were step-brothers - that Finn's mom married Kurt's dad. I was like woa!. That episode got me right in the heart... big time especially knowing that they were not only grieving Finn, but Cory as well. The emotion was so raw for the entire cast.

@Sumguyinavan_ Жыл бұрын
It punches so hard emotionally when someone is gone because all of the bad blood there was between you and someone you cared about just disappears. There was so much drama in the show, because teenage school life is like that- chaotic, miscommunicating, high intensity hormone driven emotions, poor decisions, regretful consequences. Everyone had bad moments with Finn at some point. But when he's no longer there, everyone can put everything to rest because they have a new reality to deal with- he's gone and never coming back to fight with or have more drama with. No more good or bad times and it reminds every character, every actor, every viewer just how quickly and unexpectedly anyone can be gone and all the baggage just doesn't matter anymore. The best thing they displayed in the song is how people come together in times of grief to support each other. But the most accurate thing they showed is how isolated you can feel after losing someone important and it is important for everyone to reach out to each other and build back up.

You can see the pain and anguish on their faces-especially the ones closest to Finn, during this performance. The first song I started crying and I cried for the rest of the episode. I may not have known Cory in real life but somehow this episode made me feel like I knew him my entire life and that we were best friends. Maybe it's because I was on this Glee journey with these characters that made me relate to them and like them. Finn started off as this bully jock who didn't have a purpose and no direction, but Glee club pointed him in One Direction-and that was to be a good person and to work hard not only on the field but in the choir room. It pains me, even more, to know that just like FInchel, Lea and Cory were dating in real life and that many of these actors cried and had a breakdown during filming. I sobbed hysterically during Carols speech and Rachels performance of to Make You Feel My Love. Cory and Naya. We miss u and love you guys.

Just watched this episode with my mom. She cried her heart out and so did I. She wasn't interested in Glee before but now ahe ask me every night to watch the show together. We haven't been that close like....never. I guess Glee does bring people together. ❤

I recently started watching Glee and I watched this scene and was wondering who died then it showed Finn and I was shocked. I was ugly crying through the whole episode then at the end it said in memory of Cory Monteith and I realised that he died in real life and they probably weren’t acting this episode. RIP

I watched this episode the night it came out. I usually streamed it the next day but this one I needed to watch with everyone else. I haven’t been able to watch it since.

As soon as I saw this in the series this beginning scene warmed my heart so hard I was in the mood. As soon as they showed Finn’s picture up on the screen I raised my hand up in praise to show my strongest condolences to the cast of “Glee”. Rest In Peace Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson

This is a good song! I know this was for Corey, but since then we have lost other cast members and it is a shame we don't remember them all. To everyone who was on this show, whether actors or production, long life and happiness.

I hadn't been able to listen to this song for so long because I wasn't ready... and now time had passed and two more had since followed him and finally now, for the first time, I was able to finally watch this tribute... Love while you still can cause death won't look twice while taking a life
