For me, the difference is that Santana had space as protagonist for her redemption, his was cut off, like the development of Karofsky and the like. I love that Sebastian had a change of heart in the end. Yes from the start of the season to before this episode aired, he was so self cantered and a bully but just like Karofsky, he was also able to see that he can be a better person and I think he realised it after what happened to Karofsky and you can tell from his apology that he is full of regrets and it was definitely a very sincere apology so you know what I ended up liking him and it’s sad that his character was only written in for one season alone

I do appreciate that Sebastian genuinely turned over a new leaf- I really do- but at the same time, I can't help but be like... yeah but you still got someone nearly blinded and that wasn't enough for you to realize you'd gone too far!? It took literally someone attempting suicide for you get that memo? Also, he apologized to Blaine, but he never really apologized to Kurt or any of the others for how nasty he'd been to them? At the end of the day he stayed true to his word and became a better person from this point on, but still... some more apologies would have been nice haha.
