what i love the most about this scene is that they just met each other, literally, yet in the entire song, kurt's eyes never stopped watching blaine as he sang, his full attention was on him, and blaine was practically singing the song to kurt, addressing every possible meaning of every line from the song to him, and kept on pointing at him, winking and just looking at him the entire time. it's clear just based in their body language and how they both were in this scene just shows them literally falling in love with each other right then and there, right at the moment they first saw each other.... i'm a massive klaine fan and i just needed to vent out because my klaine heart is so close to exploding

Just watched Darren Criss on instagram (November 2020) describe making this episode.l TEN years ago! I had to revisit it. Originally I watched it with our daughter who was around 8 ... she was a Glee fan because it was all about the singing and dancing ... but I was glad it had relevant life affirming themes, that were about normalising diversity and sexuality, so she would grow up understanding this as part and parcel of life, and not about judgement or exclusion. Originally, Blaine is supposed to be older since the writers never created Blaine to be Kurt's boyfriend (it was Sam who has been created to be Kurt's boyfriend) but some sort of a mentor. However due to the undying power of Klaine they made Darren a series regular and made blaine younger so that if they will be making season 4 the distance will put strain on Kurt and Blaine relationship. WE all know what happens after that decision.
