I think all boys and men should be inspired by Finn. I think the way the creators made his character is absolutely stunning. Boys shouldn’t be afraid to have feelings and be sensitive and like Will said when he was looking for the ring for Emma he said that Finn showed him how to be a man because he wasn’t afraid to cry and shown feelings and be sensitive

You know I always thought that Rachel was annoying in glee but when it came to Finn when he was feeling down or upset or something she would always come and cheer him up which is what I like about Rachel. Technically she would cheer people up sometimes even though when she did then it would go back to her but she at least helped.

Finn could've played football at other colleges like Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, etc. But he had his heart set on Ohio State.

no Finn was not going to be good enough for any of those colleges. I am not sure how easy you think it is to be a football player or to get into elite programs like Michigan and OSU, but it is not. I was the starting half back for my high school team. played on varsity for 3 years. for my school, I did very well. was not good enough to play for those schools though. you have to be really gifted to play college football at any level, let alone Division 1, let alone premier programs like Michigan, OSU, Alabama, etc. I know you loved Finn the character, but Finn the character was not a very good QB. the amount of talent you need is incredible. Finn would have probably been a 1 or 2 star recruit at most. 3 if someone was incredibly generous. all of the schools you mentioned can usually get 5 or 4 star recruits to play that position, esp if you include teams like Alabama, Oklahoma, etc.

Hey Lori, I am sorry I just saw your comment. To answer your question it's possible. I don't think he would have went to any division one school, but there are other divisions out there where maybe he would have had some spot on the team. Based on what they showed of his playing abilities on the show (and to be fair, we don't get much) he (the character obviously) just wasn't good. Doesn't make him a bad person, just wasn't good. But, there are a lot of divisions, out there. Some of them would have given him a partial scholarship (a lot of the smaller ones can't always provide a whole). For him his dream was OSU. But I think the recruiter really made him realize (I know the recruiter in the show, again talking about the character, is a slime ball for abusing Coach Beast) but he could analyze talent. It also could have made a difference if he was willing to play something other than QB or not. Tim Tebow was amazing in college, one of the best ever, in the NFL not so much. Not every guy can play every position well. Finn was a big guy, depending the school (again a smaller school like you proposed) he may have had a better chance at getting some type of spot on the team. As a QB though....it would have to be a bad team, even at a smaller school.
