Most men who get out of long term relationships like that don’t stay single very long for that exact reason.

I feel so sorry for Will in this scene. I have songs that I absolutely loved with my ex, and still do to this day. While it is true that sometimes people permanently attach a song to the way they feel about someone, that isn't always the case, and a song can have a new deeper meaning when you're with someone else later on.
