On Tuesday night, I was very lucky to go and get to see one of my favourite artists and biggest influences- Glen in Manchester. I was even luckier to meet him before the show when I was eating dinner in a little bar and Glen came in. He was due to perform in about and hours time and was sat yards away from me with his band eating a burger and having a pint. I managed to have a chat with him and he's the nicest, most down to earth artist ever! Great show too. Thanks so much Glen

Went to school with glen, the Holy Spirit primary school,Ballymun. In the late seventies early eighties. His nickname was Hamo. Remember he had a mullet and a Status Que patch on the back of his denim jacket. Great to see him doing well.

Hadn't heard of Glen until this song ripped through me on an episode of Parenthood. It has been a very long time since music I didn't know has touched me so profoundly. I am now finding & listening to a bunch of Glen's solo work as well as Frames and Swell Season. Still liking "Rhythm and Response" best so far. Glen to me (with the utmost respect) is Bob Dylan meets Cat Stevens meets Van Morrison. If that sounds like your thing, then check him out! Glen, thanks for waking me up!
