I love this performance, and I have looked for any other version, but have failed. This isn't SoundCloud, this is KZbin. If you want millions of views on a video in 2023 or later, it better not be pixellated like it came from the 80s/90s. Which I'm sure the original video team didn't do. Audio is pretty good, somewhere there's a version where the video is also. Find it? Song deserves it?

This gutted me and hollowed me out. I was not prepared to cry on this lonely, cold morning. I am a widow of a few years and feeling despair most days. This made me cry - and I never cry any more. I thought I'd used up all of my tears. There hasn't been anything worth crying about that is as bad as everything I have lost. Wow. I literally stumbled across this on my YT feed and I am so very, very grateful. What an amazing piece of art this song is. Thank you and bless....just....BLESS xo

@@christofourie1409 As a child of a suicide, that rings so true to me. Because once it is shown to you by example that this is a viable way out, it imprints on you. It's such a sad lonely place to be, sometimes we pretend to others we are okay, but deep down inside sadness keeps returning, I take each day as it comes, a bird a dog the sun can give me a moment of hope I can remove this sorrow, I feel for all of you I wish you love and hope, music bought us here, yet we don't know each but we are connected more than we know, sadness is so cruel.x❤️🩹

This is my first time listening to him. It popped up in my feed. Him sitting in front of a piano, so I clicked on it. I'm trying to teach myself piano. I saw a looking my age, same beard. I liked it a lot. The sound from a real piano is so much better than electronic. I have a Legato, Williams, Digital. Has all the keys, that's nice. I enjoy playing it. But a real piano. Nothing like it. Good song 👍

There are some artists who have this incredible ability to emote to such an extent when they perform that it's almost visceral. It's raw, it's pure and their authenticity is like a punch to the gut. The emotion they pour in to their lyrics, melodies and performances feels tangible at times. Damien Rice is one of those artists. Jeff Buckley was another, as was Johnny Cash (think 'Hurt'), but the master has to be Glen Hansard. It's been almost two decades since I first heard his music - Falling Slowly - and nearly 20yrs on his music is every bit as mesmerising. If you haven't heard it, 'Time will be the Healer' is another masterpiece of his.
