Glencoaghan Horseshoe July 22

A super day trip (drive over that morn and back in the eve) to hike the amazing Glencoaghan Horseshoe which includes some of the twelve bens. Very different mountains than I've ever been in before. Mixture of grassy slopes, steep scree and huge flat stone. Nice and rugged and challenging! Weather started off overcast but cleared off nicely later in the afternoon beneath some lovely blue skies. I used the outdoor active app for the first time and found it helpful. Was slightly concerned about trying to squeeze it all in, in one day but all in all a great day out!
