A Challenging Hike - Glencoaghan Horseshoe

The Glencoaghan Horseshoe looped walk located in the Twelve Bens in Connemara is a challenging route. This hike traverses six of the Twelve Ben Mountains - Derryclare, Bencorr, Bencollaghduff, Benbreen, Bengower & Benlettery. The views on a clear day are spectacular and although the hike is long (the horseshoe loop is about 12.5km with an additional 3.5km by road), the effort was worth it. Having access to two cars can help avoid the road section or in my case I used a bike.
