What jaw dropping scenery , so glad the weather played ball enabling a horizon to horizon visual feast of mountains and sea. Connemara is beautiful , loved the views to Kylemore Abbey and Renvyle , oddly enough im barred from the abbey, but thats one for the camp fire. The drone footage and follow me shots were class, giving a great perspective of your perseverance and your immediate surroundings , You are looking great Miriam , onwards and upwards, loved this one . !!

Miriam, perfect weather for a classic route☀👣 It is a tough old slog alright up to the wee Benbaun though the climb to Mucanacht takes it to another level entirely😊 That camp with a beautiful sunset and sunrise certainly beats the sofa and darts😊 The 12 Bens are hard to beat for proper looking mountains and you had them at their prime on your trip. No midges? Mountain days like that are to be cherished here in Ireland👍

Perfect weather is right Gerry!! So lucky that it unfolded as forecasted 😉 My knee got very sore on the first climb - I must have jerked it awkwardly in the early stages and I thought I'd have to abandon the trip before I even made it to the top of wee Benbaun. I had a knee support with me and thankfully it eased and didn't hinder my progress when I continued. I certainly found it very challenging to get up Mucanacht and the high backpack was a nuisance...never good on a steep scramble when I can't lean back properly. I've had many years good use with my backpack but I'd like to treat myself to a backpack that doesn't come up as high in the near future. Midges were annoying on the climb up Mucanacht and at lower elevations but up top there was none at all....it was the same in the morning - no issue at all. A trip to be cherished for sure Gerry 🤗 Thanks!!

Those were some views from the tops Miriam! Flipping Wow!! And quite an acceptable pitch for the evening - definitely one for the memory banks, especially with conditions like those, plus the effort and planning to get up there....never mind the darts, lol, this was a full on bullseye with 360 views for as far as the eye could see, and to score for a sunset and sunrise...the mountains indeed are the revelation itself 💚 Exceptional drone work, as always, I'll stop praising the vid now 😂. Really enjoyed this one, I would have commented last night but I wanted to watch it again on the big tv when I wasn't as tired. The descents always scare me more than the ascents, so wise to take your time. What a great experience to have hiked, camped and scrambled that route, with Mother Earth allowing for Factor 30 to be utilised in September ;-)

Thank you!! 🙏 The drone worked a treat in those conditions!! I had the place to myself for the most part - I saw 2 people at one stage when climbing the second peak and no one else for the duration. Solitude aplenty!! I really appreciated that 🤗

@@MiriamKennedy It really is impressive what you do and the energy you have when you get off the couch from watching Darts. lol. That was another once in a lifetime GEM. I went on a twenty mile cycle the other day on my ebike and it was a struggle to get home and I really ached and took days to recover but I am now taking vit C daily (B12 from the Dr didn't help any) and it is actually possibly helping some with my Chronic Fatigue and I can only hope that one day I start to have some sort of normal reliable energy again but you are still way ahead of me. Glad you got around safely taking your time.

Hi Peter! Thanks 🤗 I met 2 people in my entire time on this route. There were 2 guys out for a hike and I met them on my way up to the second peak (Benbrack). Never saw anyone else until I drove away from the area 🤩

Nothing is too hard if you take your own time and asses it based on your experience. Nothing is that scary as it looks 😊
