I fell in love with Celtic harp and fiddle music when I was a Glasgow University post graduate student from Ankara / Türkiye, in 1994. Watched many live concerts by ALTAN, DERVISH, Alasdair Fraser and by many amateur musicians playing at pub sessions in jolly Glasgow. 30 years on, I am still an avid listener of Celtic Music and I am very happy to listen to this increadibly talented Turkish harpist playing a beautiful interpretation of Glenlivet. Reminded me of my 2 years in Scotland and the lovely and friendly Glaswegians.

Four months later… I still can’t play it 🤣 this is the best video of Glenlivet on the entire internet.

Whenever I see Kim Robertson’s, it strikes terror into my harpist heart and I run away. I’m not good enough to play anything that she arranges.

I would love to have a crack at this one but unfortunately she hasn't published her arrangement of this lovely tune (or at least I haven't been able to find it if it does exist) so I would have to figure out what she's doing with her left hand by ear ear which is tricky and very time consuming.

Excellent. I feel an arrangement with flute would also be another haunting experience.

Dave Lyons BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra...My Mum sadly passed away recently, and Helen Thomson (brilliant Harpist from Scotland!) played this at her Funeral..(slightly slower) as we all walked in..was really emotional ..x

I love this. The copy I have doesn't have any dynamics marked but I can see you do exactly what I do with the dynamics. It's such a fun piece to play. I love the way you do the harmonics around 1:46 - I can never get those 100% of the time! Great fun to listen to.

Beautiful playing my dear, and did I notice an amazing improv. A missed bass chord near the end, but then instinctively followed up with an attacking response. Hee hee, I play instruments too, and all you can do is carry on playing and hope nobody noticed?..ha..ha..it's okay though, I love it all the same. Excellent job👍

It’s sounds great on both traditional and electric but traditional needs to be amplified much more bc you cannot hear the nuances of the notes and harmonies as you can in the electric.
