Cake and Ice Cream. What's not to like. Although I rather be in the Forest than at a birthday party. LOL Cheers.🥃😎P.S. Yes, more like this

Bought some extra Tale of Cakes after trying it. I loved it. My grandma made the best pineapple upside cake (and peach); so I like to have it when I think of her.

Why have i never considered using peaches!

I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I liked the hindsight look at your thoughts on each on at the end as well. Thanks.

Thanks Jon! Any time I can film drinking 5 whiskies is a good time

Totally agree. They've been solid for so long

Great video, Bill! I'd enjoy watching you do the same with other scotches.

Great idea for a video! I have Tokyo, and I really liked it on the first taste (fan of Japanese whisky), but on subsequent tastes I haven't found it as nice. I can readily get winter and ice cream where I live, and whilst they are a little on the expensive side compared to other locations, this has made me very curious to try them!

Of those two, I'd suggest the ice cream for sure!

Fun video! You mentioned the Allta which was the last of Glenmorangie's ten 'Private Editions' which pivoted into the Tales series. It still feels like a continuation of the same idea that began 15 years ago but with more eye catching packaging. I have seen the older Bacalta, Astar and Spios down here on Connecticut shelves but they are all about $130 which is getting nearer the 18 year. But found the Allta at $90 with its wild yeast, higher 51.2% abv and non-chill filtering seemed a total steal. Would like to hear if you think the old Private Editions were better overall than these newer Tales. Cheers and thanks for the video!

Great video as always. I think you already did a video for this or a similar one between the big three of Islay, I think it was Ardbeg and Laprhoig 10yr as well as the Lagavulin 8yr. I'd like to see something similar but have a Kilchoman and Bruichladdich selection put in the mix to see how they compete with those because they're every bit as good in my opinion. Cheers!

Great blind comparison video! I personally enjoy the Tale of the Forrest for its unique flavor! And I have never seen Tale of Cake in store (argh!) But I do really enjoy getting to try out the new expressions in this series when they come out.

great video and editing! i like how you highlighted the name while trying it. glenlivet vs glenmorangie or just a glenlivet? i know pretzels work as a palate cleanser for beer. do you think it works for whiskey?
@TheWhiskeyDictionary2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Pretzels definitely work. Personally, I'd go Glenmorangie as I think they have more unique special releases. Glenlivet is great for people new to drinking whisky though!
