The first Danzig album is the only one that was recorded in the East Coast in New York and not the West Coast in Los Angeles. In short Danzig 1 from 1988 was the final record GD recorded in NY or NJ. Licifuge as well ad everything that followed Danzig II in 1990 was done in LA forever after.

Glenn has always been super articulate. The guy knows what he’s talking about, and I don’t think they were quite ready for him in an interview situation when he started to gain prominence. He was a lot more well spoken, and intelligent than people assumed

Everytime I look at Danzig I think of how great he would have been as Wolverine in X-Men (also how legendary he was!). The studio begged, no way he would have ever done it though, fun to imagine.

@@MABADBledsoe Yeah. Wolverine, I do believe, is supposed to be exactly 5ft 3in in the comics. I mean, that’s why he is called Wolverine, (pound for pound the most vicious animal, etc.) and I thought they kind of ruined the character casting a taller guy as they took away some of Wolverine’s charm.

Cliff Burton called Glenn late at night for the lyrics to Green Hell. Cliff also got Rick Rubin to go see Samhain at the New Music Seminar. Rick talked with Glenn after the show, and Glenn had no idea who he was!!!😅😅😅😊

theres a cool one from danzig with the misfits in 1983, where it's like a live performance intermixed with a couple interview questions, look for that one, i think it was filmed in michigan. anyways danzig comes off as really cool and funny, many people claim danzig to be a jerk and a hard ass, but he's really cool and down to earth when he is in his good moods i guess, haha....

@junkbox_

The red pilled Glenn had good chemistry with the red pilled Adam who is able to separate layers with ability to understand deeper meanings. Adam Curry is no slouch and Glenn knows this. Neither of these guys were regular dudes and both are well-researched people. Adam Curry co-founded the podcast format and that is just scratching at the surface. These two were outside of the box and were intentionally going beyond a typical interview. Both are really deeply read into secret societies, esotericism, technocracy and draconianism. Both are very outspoken on all of the above topics. In 1989 the masses could not wrap their head around such subjects sandwiched in between hair metal and lipstick rock. Perspective and projection is subject to change without notice. In the Karate Kid from 1984, Daniel is seen as a victim being bullied by Johnny. A whole generation misinterpreted the fact that Johnny was actually not the bully - Daniel was. Use the same formula and you will find what MTV Headbanger's Ball VJ was alpha and what one was beta this whole time. I recommend the Adam Curry episode of Joe Rogan to see who he is and always has been. It's not what you think.
@RickordProductions
@RickordProductions Жыл бұрын
Adam Curry was more intelligent with questions than Riki Rachtman. Plus Adam wouldn’t cut off guests in the middle of their answers like Riki did and Glenn gave Riki a harder time on HBB even though he was actually good friends with him but Glenn was never too shy to call out someone’s stupidity and corny questions. In this segment it looked like Glenn was more comfortable with talking to Adam Curry compared to his interviews with Riki.

Man vs Self is the ultimate battle. Until you learn to how to tame/control the beast within [which we ALL harbor to some degree], every personal battle you find yourself in, is fought at a disadvantage.
@RickordProductions
@RickordProductions Жыл бұрын
Considering Riki Rachtman didn't do a bad job with HBB, Adam Curry was a fully seasoned VJ. Unlike Riki, he knew how to do interviews and speak to a camera. If Riki approached his position like that he would've been a way better VJ for MTV. The reason why they kept Riki so long on Headbanger's Ball instead of Adam Curry is because, one, Riki was hired under Axl Rose's recommendation and two, Riki was already friends with a lot of hard rock/ metal bands inlcuding Glenn Danzig, plus he was especially good friends with the bands in the LA scene before they got famous. He had the clout and could easily bring them on as guests on the show.

I think Glenn definitely was. I remember thinking that when this first aired. It was the first time I'd ever seen Glenn Danzig in an interview and I was kinda surprised at how nervous he seemed. I think that fed into Adam Curry's somewhat nervous reaction.
