Guys, I created this video with the initial intuition to use it as an audiovisual portfolio, just to show it to possible producers or customers. It was conceived in just two weeks, from the script, image collection, "narration" and subtitles. Naturally I am from Brazil, and I made this content to be accessible to my language, but without any pretense. I have already been notified of (serious) spelling errors, but there are some changes of letters that ended up being typed in the narrator, and consecutively in the subtitles and lettering (because they were copied and pasted), due to the short production time, and I having been the only person involved in the project, it turned out that I didn't have time to do a more thorough review, and in fact it didn't worry me much, because I was sure that the video would have no more than 200 views. I no longer have the project file, so it's no longer worth it to fix it, but I believe that the essence remains present. Long live this wonderful band! (again I'm sorry) Good entertainment to all!

This band will be 50 years old in 5-6 years. Manny doesn't have a wiki page so I have no idea how old he is but he reminds me some WWII vets when I was younger. its weird to see how old people have got in the past decade. Punk was ending when I became a Teen at 13 but Post punk or Gothic was a thing along with Thrasher Metal bands of the late 70s and early mid 80s. I was lucky to have been old enough just to experience it. it kind of depresses me to see how old people are getting.
@xenos_n.3 жыл бұрын
I get that. Time is messed up. The farther things get away in time, well... The further away they seem, almost like they didn't happen, when generations keep being created that don't understand the old days. So the older you get, the more alienated you feel from the world around you as less and less people understand your world because the time you grew up in is just stories to them from long ago.

Imo The Misfits original line up with Danzig was the absolute best. My friend gave me a blank 90 minute tape which had all their music. My mind was blown! This was in about 1993 or so. I listened to everything. I was really into the Beatles at the time and current music like Green Day who were just getting started up, Sex Pistols, rap of course. And I was really getting into punk rock at this time and the Misfits were really truly to this day the greatest Punk rock band. With their whole style. It was Halloween themed all their songs were very catchy and simple but great. Also Nirvana was at the top of their game. I mean I listened to anything that was good. Good imo. I hadn't yet heard Johnny Cash but I really got into him as well. Nine Inch Nails. We went to Woodstock 94' it was insane! We found out they tore the fences down the first day. My friend called and told me he was watching MTV and it was now free. We were all around 15-16 or so and us four went and just had a blast!

Cliff Burton’s favorite band(as well as anything Glen Danzig put out). Cliff Burton, I feel, helped catapult The Misfits to more exposure through his Crimson Ghost Tattoo and always wearing the shirt as well. 🤘🏽

I saw the Misfits with Marky Ramone And The Intruders at Tower Theater in OKC in 1997 or whenever that was. I was used to the underground thrash/punk shows around at that time, and that show was big, none of the people were there that went to the thrash shows, and they were all lined up to get autographs from Jerry Only at the end of the show. It was very odd. I went on to start bands of my own that kickstarted a more thriving and larger thrash/power-violence/punk scene around OKC with a departure from the traditional junk like The Misfits, Ramones and all that old crap. But i find myself looking back at this old stuff and appreciating it more for what it was, and owe a lot of what we were doing over the years to it. The old Misfits songs really were great.

Legacy of Brutality is a compilation album from the mid 80s. It is mostly overdubs and re-recorded tracks by Glenn and Eerie Von during Samhain.

@@junkbox_ I purchased everything I could get ahold of from the misfits in the early 90 and when you look at the release dates for the albums it was the last official album released

I think the actual final Misfits was FB live one with Jerry on vocals. Definitely wasn't LOF. They broke up for years got back together had a few different singers and rotating lineup but it's still the same band. That's like saying the last Van Halen album was in the mid 80s

41 I consider myself more of an 80s child. They had more hits with him. The keyboards were a central part to their sound since after 1984. and Sammy got killer vocals. Davey was alright (props for being the original) better at the theatrics doing splits in the air etc.
