Great bass, great singing, great guitar, great keys. Chad, good but lacking something. There’s a *drive* in Ian Paice that just does not come through here with Chad. It’s not about speed, it’s about playing on top of the beat.

Black Country Communion just finished a new album produced by Kevin Shirley. It will be out in Feb 2024! They are scheduled to play some live dates too

@flyingburritobro68 Chance of seeing them will be remote! Of the 2 times they have played here, the first in 2010 was ok, but the 2nd in 2018 was pricing at £100 a ticket! (it was cheaper to go to Manchester to see them in 2011, so I did!) Still love them; though, they are the 2nd of my top 3 bands! (though I have only seen my favourite twice [local venue closed for restoration] and I've never seen the 3rd as they often only play in London) 🤘🏻

Tommy Bolin used that guitar in Zephyr The James Gang and his solo albums plus in Purple but he never owned it. It was his guitar tech Dave Brown’s guitar and Tommy used it for several years as his Goldtop was stolen. Mainly played his Strat with the stele neck though. Glad Joe got that guitar though!

It took two men to destroy Deep Purple. Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore and their personal conflict. On the other hand that gave us the greatness of Blackmore with Dio and Cozy Powell. So it kind of worked out.
