true, it is so blatant, so obvious that mass media is a single entity, that basically read out what ever those in power put in the teleprompter for "news readers" to parrot. As you stated, there were once independent journalists who would break huge stories that were not very good for those in power, but they became more and more rare and eventually disappeared altogether. The only place to find true journalism is on the web (mostly) and they just don't have the resources or contacts to fly around the world following up leads, FORTUNATLY the internet has made this possible for true independents to chase up possible corruption, but they can get shut down with lawsuits OR in the worse cases murdered. If you look at HOW the AMISH live --- then you will immediately realise what you must do in order to SURVIVE, in order to live truly FREE and self-reliant, without ever having to depend on the State or the Govt. The second solution is : STOP GIVING YOUR MONEY to CORPORATIONS ---- whether its Coca Cola, Charmin Toilet Paper, MONSANTO ( which produces practically all the food we consume! ), and just about every other CORPORATION out there, and IF you must BUY --- make sure its a NO NAME / NO FRILLS brand, and IF you have a tiny plot of LAND, start your own GARDEN of VEGETABLES, buy a few chickens, and start small. Just a side note from an oldish lady: the oppression of the "lower classes", mostly women and their children, has been going on for decades in this so-called equal society. I was a union steward, working hard both for my employer and my members for 25 years. The union would not support me, I was humiliated by my bosses and co--workers, all my ideas were used and my work made millions monthly but all the credit was taken by my higher ups. I tried to get a raise and I was blocked by HR. They had their orders. This was decades ago. I got out as soon as I could. It is not just the elites. It's people everywhere.
