Pan said himself it's not supposed to be used on a weekly basis but it's a medium term sealant not a quick ceramic detailing spray not really to be used weekly
@OmniGarage4 күн бұрын
Um partly true. Having meet pan and discussed his product line in our SEMA video and from reading the back of the bottle weekly can be applied to a wet surface, or spray on rinse off.

Wassup boys! First, I want to say how nice it was to meet you both at SEMA! Glenn and Glenn in the house! Thanks for using the CLEAN By Pan Ceramic Spray Sealant! Overall, I think you had a great experience with it, as I'm sure you saw the gloss it gives (especially if you look at the paint the day following the application) and the slickness it provides. But I also wanted to thank you for the conversation you started about spray sealants vs drying aids. It's a very interesting topic. As a ceramic spray sealant is a long term protection normally, compared to a drying aid which is short term protection that focuses more on lubricating the surface after a wash, and boosting gloss and slickness a bit too. So the CLEAN By Pan Ceramic Spray Sealant is kind of in a new category, as it's both a long term super stout protection, but can also be used as a drying aid or spray on rinse off sealant if the conditions are right. But with any versatile product can sometimes highlight some learning curves for some people, as we'll discuss below. It's a long term protection FIRST, that just so happens that it "can" be used as a drying aid on a wet surface if the user wants to. As you guys know, this ceramic spray sealant is very stout and was mainly designed to be used as a long term stand alone paint protection on a clean, well prepped, unprotected surface. As your main layer of protection. Hence why it's made to be stout and last 6-12 months. One or two sprays per panel, spray on the towel and apply on the surface. Use a second clean and dry towel and buff to a streak free shine. I never had issues using it this way. This is one of the most popular products of the lineup, and often sells out. So we have had tremendous feedback so far, and it's only a super small amount of people that get streaking issues depending on what conditions they're in, how they applied it, what protection was perhaps already on the surface, what prep they did to the surface, etc. It's a bit hard to troubleshoot because of all those variables to consider, as with any paint protection. But for example, when you used it as a drying aid in this video, there wasn't enough water or liquid on the surface. The majority of the vehicle was already pretty dry, and that could have potentially been one of the reasons. If people use a car dryer or leaf blower to blow the majority of the liquid off the paint first, or use a rinseless wash method, and there isn't much liquid left on the surface after the wash, then using it as a drying aid might not be the best fit. The fact you can use it as a drying aid confuses some people perhaps, as it's still much stouter than a traditional drying aid that only leaves a few weeks of protection at best. Those are lighter forms of protection and are usually easier to use on a weekly basis. I never had streaking issues with the ceramic spray sealant personally, but I typically work in a controlled environment of 20C and 45% humidity. But even when using it outdoors in direct sunlight, I had no issues. So if you want to use it weekly, use it as a drying aid on a wet surface. One or two light mists, and use the drying towel. Wash the towel after use, as it's a stout sealant and using it often can coat the fibers and make them less absorbent over time, just like with any spray sealant would do to a drying towel. But the good news is we are already hard at work to produce a true quick detail spray, that will only have a few weeks of protection, but that will focus on ease of use for weekly use, and also focus on gloss and slickness. So people will be able to use that as often as they wish as a drying aid or quick detailer, and not have to worry about streaking if that was their case. I hope this makes sense. Again thanks for trying my products and I can't wait to see what you thought of the Rinse-Less wash! I hope you had a good experience with it. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. ;)

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for the clarification. It’s good to know you are working on a quick detailer to complement your sealant or coatings. If I could make the suggestion to make a concentrate for the QD i think that would be pretty awesome. Kind of like a mix of your rinseless with some added protection. Then it could potentially be used as rinseless, QD, waterless wash, etc. maybe like Carpro essences.. I’m sure you already have ideas in motion and you’re playing with the formulas already. I’m thinking of something that can be used for numerous different applications and provide a value proposition to the end user.

I’m still waiting for my order to come in, however I’m now concerned about my expensive drying microfibers. I generally use Maguires quick detail spray in the red bottle as a dry aid after a full hand wash. I put a couple sprays on each panel and then wipe it down with my giant absorbent rag company towels. I was planning on doing a one step correction, panel prep, and then applying your spray sealant. I was hoping I could use it as a dry aid weekly if not biweekly. But if this is going to cost me longevity of my expensive towels, now I’m concerned I’m not sure what to do. Any advice Pan? BTW I got a 16oz and a 128oz jug coming in

The Pan CLEAN product is stout. I applied it to a dry black SUV. Amazing protection, especially once you shampoo the product on a follow-up wash the next week. Literally, one can see the spray ceramic coating reject the soap at the surface after application .. amazing and something I’ve not seen before except with my son’s full blown ceramic coating. Agree, a quick detailer like Beadmaker or SlipStream but from CLEAN would be awesome & I believe it will be introduced soon. Note my black SUV is a new company 2 year max. lease vehicle so I prefer the spray ceramic to use on it as opposed to a full blown ceramic coating on vehicles I own.

I used this sealant yesterday on a Kia Soul after doing a 1-step. I did notice it was a bit grabby ( TRC Eagle 500). I applied it directly onto the towel and wiped on. But once I got the towel moving around and buffed out the flashing, it sure did feel awesome and looked deep and rich on the paint. Part of me wanted to do spray rinse but I was running out of time. I definitely got a shoulder workout but the slickness, richness on the paint at the end was tiddies.

I’m doing a prep, dry applying Clean sealant, then adding tec582 after rinses before drying as my topper. It’s too early to see the results but I really like it so far, a couple months into the test.

I agree with you on the fact I would rather have a good lubricating product, but something that immediately flashes away. I don't need something super stout, although I do think the Pan Sealant is probably a good one but just use it as a spray sealant. I have put more marring in my paint from the drying process than any other process. I like the Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine and also the regular Speed shine, but that's just me. I use a lot of Griot's products and enjoy that company's products. At the moment I am testing out BOLA SOLUTIONS line up which I have really been enjoying to use. Very good products.

I just used Pans Sealant this weekend on my black Chevy Silverado. My truck was coated 18 months ago with 2-3 year coating that is basically gone now. I applied to dry paint. The paint darking effect was pretty noticeable. If you miss a spot, you'll see it. I started off by spraying the towel only but couldn't get even coverage, so I sprayed the panel. I did chase some streaking, but i'll blame myself for using too much product. After it cured, the paint looked deep, dark, and super glossy. My preference would be less pertection and easier to use. More along the lines of a stout detailer than a stout sealant. I normally use Phoenix EOD Titan or ADS Amplify as my final wipe spray. They only give protection between washes, but are super easy to use. In case it matters, my process was: KCX Autoshampoo as a prewash, Phoenix EOD Apex as my bucket as foam cannon soap, dry aid was ADS Hero 64:1, then used Pans Sealant on dry paint. I run a dual bed DI system for water.

What I look for in a drying is something adds lubrication but does not leave any difficult to remove contamination in my drying towels. Any products that is durable on the surface for more than a few weeks seems much too stout in this context for my taste. A stand alone sealant or coating topper is a different category altogether for my uses.

I’m planning to use Pan’s sealant approx once per month to boost the hydrophobicity. I will continue use Beadmaker as my drying aid for my weekly washes. We will see if my use changes once I have used up the gallon jug of Beadmaker 🤷🏾♂️

I look at the sealant a lot like you. I have drying aids that are less of protectant and more for lubrication, like amplify, bead maker, essence, etc. I use Clean by Pan as the product I sell to customers that are looking for a stand alone protection. Even ADS, has there version of stout protection. It does blur the lines for people and can get confusing at times. The consumer just needs to do the research and make the choices based on what they are looking for.

This stuff streaks quite a bit for me. It reminds me of the TW ceramic spray, the way I have to work way too hard trying to buff out streaks. I've been using Armour Detail Supply (Amplify) and Jimbo's (TAS) for a while, and those products never steak and are top-notch for all the desired properties. Jimbo's is the slickest, which I just love. I bought a gallon of Pan's ceramic spray and don't want to throw it out, so I've tried a variety of things in an effort to minimize the streaking. I've tried going down to just a single spray per panel and even tried diluting 50%, but the streaks are obvious on my dark paint. Lots of streaking, even when simply using as a drying aid. I can buff the streaks off eventually, but it's a pain and and has even caused some marring. This is definitely not something I have to do with TAS or Amplify. I'll probably toss this pan stuff and just stick with Jimbo's for the durable layer use Amplify as a drying-aid. Works perfectly, but thought I'd look for a cheaper solution. I'd have bought a gallon of Jimbos to begin with, but the Pan product was only $50 per gallon (black friday). You get what you pay for I guess. Hopefully Jimbo can get the price down to be more inline with the competitors.

I think the streaking comes from applying it too straight up ( it’s a stout product) and people in the comments are saying it’s too much as a drying aid/ for weekly use.

@@OmniGarage I bought this product originally for my girlfriend. I nice easy, do-all package. She's been using it as a drying aid and it's been absolutely great. The experience is flawless. On the last restock, I picked myself up a bottle and tried it as a stand-alone. I applied it way too heavy and got streaks I couldn't just wipe away. A quick fix was spraying some rinseless (Nemesis) and wiping down. Seems good for now. Spraying on a towel and applying was a good experience, just as you experienced in the video. I was looking for something as easy as Collinite Beadcoat with MORE slickness under towel. While it's not as easy as Beadcoat, and the hydrophobics isn't as high as beadcoat, it gives you slickness under towel and is easy to use as long as you don't use too much lol.

@kyletinsley. With Pans Spray sealant less is more. Your using way to much. I use the product on multiple vehicles and never have any issues with streaking ever. I usually prefer the dry method. I use either a larger microfiber applicator or a microfiber towel. couple sprays into the towel or applicator. wipe onto the panel. then give it a few seconds and then wipe with a separate microfiber and lightly buff away. next panel couple more sprays into the cloth wipe on and wipe off as before.

@@ConwayLStevens, @dewet2wet, Thanks for the suggestions. In my pursuit of a streak-free finish, I went down to just 1 spray per panel and even tried with only one spray as a drying-aid. Using any less than, kinda seems pointless. And to compare, I used other products side-by-side and had no streaking with the other products, even with multiple sprays per panel. I'll keep trying. I'm sure it's doable, but it's requiring more effort than the other products, so far.
@kyletinsley4 күн бұрын
@@dewet2wet Thanks. I've not tried Collinite yet, but sounds like you're looking for the same thing as me. I want all the usual properties, but slickness is what I want turned up to 11. I'll apply a detail spray weekly to get that, as long as the the other properties remain high. I've tried maybe 7 brands over the years and Jimbos is the slickest full strength spray I've found. And for a detail spray, Amplify is the best I've tried. Have you tried Collinite Slickr?

When it comes to coated cars, I don't use these types of products any more. If doing a rinseless wash (which is what I do 99% of the time), I just wipe it dry immediately without any additional products. If I happen to do a soap contact wash (very rare) I will mix up a rinseless at 128:1 or 64:1 and use that as a drying aid. Pan's Clean Rinse-Less is perfect for this because it has that quick detailer-like effect where it leaves a bit of gloss and slickness on the surface for a few days. This looks to be a great product, but I wonder if it is going to be a bit too strong if used weekly as a drying aid. For my tastes, strong sealants don't make a lot of sense to me for that type of application. I can see laying that down as your base layer and then using something less strong as your drying aid/topper. For that, I just want something that is reasonably priced, easy to use and that isn't going to give me any problems. For me, Bead Maker is still hard to beat. There's a reason I've been using that on my wife's car since 2020. It just works without issues and performs great for a reasonable price.

I just wanted 3 or so months of protection to get me through the winter here in the States. I did find it was pretty grabby on the first wipes, but I may be using the wrong towels (edgeless 365). Why not use a rinse-less diluted down to detail spray for a drying aid or a straight up detail spray with no protection? Do you need protection every wash on a ceramic coated car? Do you want to strip your MF towels every time cause they were used on a ceramic spray as a drying aid? If you have a good base layer of ceramic, I reckon you don't need to top it up but once or twice a year...

My car isn't ceramic coated. In summer, I like to use a nice glaze to make the paint pop. In winter, I will apply a base sealant / wax (BSD, etc) then a monthly topper (3d Bead it up, Autoglym Polar Seal, etc). Drying aid for me is just a Rinseless diluted accordingly, cos value. So I'd do a full Decon, apply Clean sealant and then a sacrificial monthly topper and hopefully it would last October to march. This product would last me years and I'd probably give some to people to try. I'd never buy a drying aid as I just feel like I'm being ripped off compared to 64:1 Rinseless.

We have never accepted money in exchange for producing a video, let alone allowing someone to dictate what we think or say about a product. In regard to the comment around Pan viewing and commenting the video within “3 minutes of publishing” - it was actually 7 hours…on that point, if you created a product, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you weren’t actively reviewing social media for mentions of your product and ensuring you stay engaged with the audience. Very poorly though out comment with no substance, justification or proof to the claims you’re making.
