Try to apply the rules to real language with some exercises, and everything will be much easier to remember :)

I've struggled to explain these same concepts in my own native language (Spanish) but thanks to you it's now more clear to me in both Spanish and Italian. Thanks for the video!

grazie tante! I've read somewere that when we say : " tante grazie" it's a little beat ironic, so it's better to say :" grazie tante". or the oposite... What is your opinion about that?
@MyItalianCircle4 жыл бұрын
When speaking, both of these phrases can sound ironic, depending on the tone you use. In writing, you can use "Grazie mille" to avoid ambiguity :)

How do non-standard gendered nouns make their plural, i.e. la mano or il turista? Does la mano become le mani?
@MyItalianCircle3 жыл бұрын
Useful question! Mano is a feminine noun, but it forms the plural in -i like all nouns ending in -o. Nouns ending in -ista can be masculine or feminine, and the formation of the plural agrees with the gender: il pianista, i pianisti; la pianista, le pianiste. Several words ending in -A that come from Greek are masculine: Il poeta, i poeti; il programma, i programmi. Words like la foto or la moto are actually abbreviations of longer nouns (fotografia and motocicletta) and don’t change in the plural: le foto, le moto.
